What's New?: Left Awalt, graduated UCSB with Barber and Comerford,

the third), 3 boys - all gro'd to be men, one an MD,

What's New?: To bring you up to date.....yes, I'm still doing the
lawyering thing, although I made Partner in March '02,
so I get to go to the Partnership meetings, wow! Son
Andy did graduate (on time) from Univ of Puget
Sound---for the past 3 years he's been in L.A. trying
to get discovered. He's been performing at The Improv
Olympic-West. In March 04 (after he runs, again, in the
L.A. marathon) he's off to New York and will give that
area a try......Daughter Elizabeth did graduate (on
time) from Reed College and remains in the Portland
Oregon area. She did have some brief employment with
the Cirque Du Soleil and was able to travel to St.
Louis, Columbus and San Francisco before returning to
Portland. Her present employment is not in her career
field (Installation Art) but it does pay the
bills.....We still have the Tahoe house and spend our
free time up there when possible. I note the last
update was almost 4 years ago, I'll try to report again
in 3 years.....

What's New?: Hi all,
I now live in Paradise, CA. It is up North, near Chico
University where I attended college and got a teaching
degree.

I taught 1st and second Grade math at Pinewood School
of Los Altos for a few years then moved to Paradise
where I went into Real Estate sales.

I met my ex in Paradise and was married for 20 years.
Now divorced, I teach Senior Citizens the computer and
take daily walks with my playful companion, Pepe, a
Shih Tzu.

I keep in touch with Anna Lee (Helgerson) Williams,
Pam Putman, Bruce Benson, Elsa(Boberg)Kirkpatrick and
Brian Helgerson.

I enjoy Science Fiction, Metaphysics, and playing the
ukulele. Feel free to send me an email.

What's New?: I got married in 1968 moved to Arizona in 1972, had a
boy in 1973 , a girl in 1978. I was in banking for 11
years, ran a family business for 11 years and finally
went into the medical field for 15 years.
I am still married to the same man, our boy blessed us
with 2 grandaughters, our girl is working on her life
and we live in the high country of Prescott, Arizona.
I am applying for SSD and my husband is putting in for
retirement. Golden years here we come.

What's New?: I practiced Dental Hygiene for 28 years, mostly in San
Diego. I have been a Preventive Care Consultant for
OMNII Oral Pharmaceuticals for the last 5 years,
covering San Diego County, Las Vegas, and Palm Springs
areas. I have been married for 32 years to David
Sanford who graduated from Homestead High School, also
in l968. We have 2 grown children and 3 grand

What's New?: There are good and bad aspects of turning 55 this year.
On the bad news side my dear Mother passed away last
month at the age of 87. My parents have been living in
the same house that I grew up in near Awalt. My sister
Millie (class of 1966) recently moved to Lodi and she
and I are supporting my Dad through this difficult
transition.
I have been playing in age group senior tennis
tournaments for many years and this year I am the baby
in the age 55 to 59 catagory. I have won one
tournament and made the final of two others so far
this year. I think I am ready to challenge Chico Myers
and Tyler Coman to a match now!

What's New?: Well it only took 35 years to check the Awalt directory. What a
blast from the past! I had had a dream about Mike Kennedy which
prompted going to Google. Well....I am currently the owner of an
art gallery in Colorado and writing screenplays. I have been
married two challenging times and am now married to Matthew
Scala for the past ten years, have two daughters,Sasha and Jessica
who are professional photographers .I graduaated from Harvard in
1981 with my masters and doctorate in psychology (what a shock
after nearly flunkiing out of Awalt) and had a private practive
for25 years, owned a farm in Maine with lots of horses and cats,
ran galleries in Denver, and oh , I forgot my past life of being a
Baptist minister's wife for 13 years (no wonder I write for the
movies)...I did survive, surprisingly. I am involved now in
beginning a film production company and living in the mountains
of Colorado at 10,000 feet. As I painfully remember I was quite
the sheepish and unpopular girl in High School. I don't even know
who that person was since there is truth in the cliche about the
ugly duckling. A special hi to Susan Zink, Lori, Jim, Michael,
Connie and Rick G.. Would love to hear from you...and as a last
note, I changed my name several years ago for literary reasons
and for fun to Maya Christobel...but you can call me Sally...Hope
all of you are well.

What's New?: I am in Sacramento still. I've been married to Carol
(the saint) for 30 years this July. Both kids are
married and long gone. One, the oldest son, is my
partner and General Manager of our printing
business. The youngest son lives in So. Cal and
is a first year lawyer with a nice law firm.
Have been doing international consulting for a
printing firm headquarted out of Salt Lake City.
Requires a lot of travel.
Life has been very good! No complaints.

What's New?: I was a nurse for 23years, then 17 years ago went back
to school and became a Gemologist. I have owned
Jewelry by Karla Kristine for 16years, I do
appraisals,and custom design work. I am Co-founder of
the Women's Jewelry Association for the San Diego
chapter and President. I am on the Board of Directors
of Fashion Group International. I just started an
Investment Club for Women. I remarried 4 years ago to
Bob Higgins V.P. of Sinak Corporation. No children.
I enjoy Golfing when I get the chance. Bob and I have
a beach front home and own a condo in Maui. He surfs
and I golf.

What's New?: Every time I travel with my family across the sea to
enjoy theatre in London, a Parisian cafe, or the local
French market to replenish our table with fresh
baguettes, cheeses and red wines, I wish I could say
I'm retired. Nowadays, one can find me directing a
state-funded program at San Francisco State University
to train county child welfare and adult protective
services workers throughout the greater SF Bay Area,
and beyond.

Through the years I've worked in the private nonprofit
sector in mental health, and for local county
governments in health and human services. I guess
I've always been attracted to serving the public and
to community service, like many of us who were molded
by the idealism of the 1960s and 1970s. I've also
taught at the undergraduate and graduate levels for
the University of California (Berkeley), San Francisco
State University, and the California School of
Professional Psychology.

After graduating from Awalt HS, I took up roots at UC
Berkeley where I received my BA and Ph.D. in
psychology (clinical). My parents were very happy (did
I say VERY happy?) when I finally left school to start
earning a living.

Maintaining a healthy balance between work and play is
important, so I indulge in ballroom dancing,
photography, travel, cruises, dining out, wine
tasting, and walking the dog (not a great form of
exercise since he pauses all too frequently,
especially when he's nearing the house). Aside from
stumbling across the dance floor in my best imitation
of "Dancing With the Stars," I also enjoy watching
good romantic comedies, action films, and travel
documentaries. I also think it's great to get
reacquainted with old classmates.

What's New?: Its been a real hoot reading everones bio's. I see my
class of 1968 is very under represented in these bio's
so I thought I would add mine. What can I say but that
we all survived. When I left Awalt in 1968 I lived on
Kauai for several years in fact I drove taxi a while
on the island and ran into a couple of the girls from
our class who I picked up as fares. Anyway life was
good there and became very involved in surfing, local
politics and community activities. Graduated from
Kauai Community College in 1972 with a liberal arts
degree. As a result of that experience I got the itch
to get into engineering. I left Kauai ( failed
relationship was the main cause) and came back to the
mainland where I worked my tail off at Intel (1974) at
nights and went to Foothill during the day. I got
accepted into UC Berkeley engineering program and
graduated in 1978. Worked at a high tech company in
Scotts Valley (when it was a small town)for many years
and got the itch for working in startups. Have since
worked in many startups (none have made it big but
some have come very close to making it) and presently
working in another startup now in Morgan Hill. Over
the years I have lived in Santa Cruz, Seattle,
Corvallis OR, Ventura CA and now back to the Bay Area
again. Dont plan on staying in the area for more than
a few years and planning on moving back to Kauai as I
have a good friend who grows papaya there who is
looking for a partner. Take care you all!

What's New?: After graduation I went to SJCC and then SJSU. Was
married while at SJSU. Following that graudation we
left for the East Coast. I have been on this coast
ever since! My time here has included dairy farming,
many varied positions in the field of clothing design,
teaching, etc. Sixteen years ago I started my own
custom embroidery business, and have been hard at work
at that ever since. My only child, Sleyton, is just
finishing high school, then on to a career in custom
automobile modifications. It's just him and me for
the last eight years.
We were last in California for New Year's 2000 - as
most of my family is still "out west". Some of you
who are on this site, I remember very well - would
sure love to catch up on the rest of us!

What's New?: After graduation in 68, I went to Foothill, DeAnza and
then Humboldt State, where I finally received my BA in
Home Ec. Couldn't find a job, so started working in
Nursing as a CNA and Unit Clerk. After we moved to
Stockton, I went back to school at the local JC, got
my RN, and have worked Labor and Delivery at 2 of the
local hospitals since. Got my BSN, then my MSN from
Sac State, and started teaching OB Nursing clinical in
1991. In January 2002, I started working full time as
the OB Nursing instructor, and am now the Assistant
Director of the ADNursing Program (that's RN), as well
as faculty of all trades (skills instructor, Student
Nurse Association Advisor,etc.).
I am married to Richard Patocchi, who worked as a
social worker (psychotherapy) for several years, and
is now teaching French at the local Community College
where I also teach. We never had any children (by
choice, it looked unfun to me), but have 6 cats and a
possum who eats cat food. Still work L&D when I have
a day off at both local hospitals, and teach the rest
of the time. It's a good life.

What's New?: I've been very happily married to Karen Rogers since
1989 -- no children, lots of pets. I graduated from
Stanford in 1972. I played in the Stanford Band for
four years and went to two Rose Bowls with them. I've
published a couple of sociology books, and worked at
SLAC and MemChu. My next job transplanted me to
Hawaii. I'm now back in Mountain View. Most recently,
I managed servers and PC infrastructure for the R&D
divisions of Hewlett-Packard and Agilent Technologies,
a recent spin-off from Hewlett-Packard. I worked at
HP/Agilent for 20 years. I've taught SCUBA diving
part-time for over 25 years. I sang in the Stanford
choir for four or five years, and now sing in the
choir at my church and play guitar.

Spent some time in the Coast Guard.
Became a motorcycle bum for a while.
Went back to college in Florida for an Engineering
degree. Got married. Moved to Texas then to
Connecticut. We have one son, a dog and a rabbit.
I am presently working as a Test Engineer for a
manufacturing firm in Springfield Mass.

Update 2008:
Retired due to auto auto accident. Divorced. Presently
waiting on a patent. I am also a fairly successful day
trader.

What's New?: After graduating I went to San Jose State (University?
oh, come on!)Spent 2 years abroad living in Florence,
Italy. I travelled extensively and discovered Opera.
Finished school with a BA in Fine Arts (useless) at
Dominican College in Houston, Texas. Where I became a
Country Western Line Dancing queen. Back home to work
for my chiropractor for 2 years, where I learned so
much about natural and holistic healing. In years
since I have taken courses in herbs, kinesiology,
Reike, Cranial/Sacral Therapy, Zero Balancing, Access
Body Talk. Became a manicurist (prime under achiever
that I am)in 1979 in San Francisco. Over the next 28
years I had my own business and also worked at a
wonderful Spa, Skylonda in Woodside. While there I
connected with The Auberge du Soleil group and trained
and set up their mani spas throughout California and
Esperanza in Cabo, Mexico. 2003 I Moved to Cambria to
open a B&B with an inappropriate mate and back to Los
Altos to take care of 88 year old Mom in 2005.
I have been engaged 4 times, but only married once (a
disaster that I have overcome). No kids, one step son.
In 1988 I became a Supernumerary at the San Francisco
Opera and realized my calling as a complete ham on
stage. I have had large and small parts in over 40
Operas. Watch for me this year in "Madama Butterfly"
and "Magic Flute".
I'm a yoga fanatic (not since I broke my hands in
June!) and am enjoying a great leap into Ballroom
Dancing.
I have always entertained myself with classes at our
local Junior Colleges. Japanese, Chinese, Ballet,
Voice, Computers, Ground School & others I've
forgotten due to those senior moments.
Had a fabulous time at '67 reunion in Aug. '07 and
look forward to ours! See you there.

What's New?: Forty years, whaddaya know? Following graduation I
moved to San Francisco & attended City College,
worked, didn't work, enlisted in the Coast Guard
serving in New Orleans, the Mississippi (a river buoy
tender homeported in Memphis) & 2 and one half years
in New York City (Governors Island). Following my
return I became a commuter living in Fairfield,
Oakland, & now Concord & worked at Union Oil Company,
Xerox Business Services, & for the past 9 years for a
law firm, Thelen Reid Brown Raysman & Steiner. I'm
getting married in November, the first for both of us,
& I'm about as happy as I've ever been. (I'll be
moving to Livermore, still a commuter!) I'd like to
contact one of my old buddies from Awalt, Keith
Gregory or Robert Beauchamp but haven't a clue as to
their whereabouts. I'm not much for reunions (like
how many of you even remember me or I you - certainly
wouldn't recognize anyone at this point!) but I wish
you all well. Fory years on, those of us who are
still breathing can certainly be grateful that we
are. I'm learning something about meditation at long
last. Peace & drop me a line if you are so inclined.

What's New?: >From 1969 to 1980 I was a touring musician.Left the
music business in 1980 and got into the medical field,
repairing and maintaining anesthesia machines and
respiratory equip. also got married in 1980 and
started my family. I now have a daughter 22 and a son
19. I still work in the medical field and play music
on the weekends.....life is great!

What's New?: I have 2 daughters. I lived in Virgina for 14years
teaching school and working as a water safty
instructor. I taught water babies. We had a farm and
raised sheep, goats, cattle, and horses. I have been
married twice - gave that up for lent and then moved
to LA in 1990. Worked for United Airlines there. I
got into Renassance Reinactment. Had my own guild.
Then I moved to Phoenix and worked for GE as a senior
travel consultant. I taughton the Navajo Reservation
in Arizona. I am presently living in Pahrump, NV. I
have taken up western reinactment. I am president of
the Pahrump Gunfighters. My first grandson was born
last April. Have been traveling in South America.
