Updated 11-Jan-2010. I am a Professor of Finance and Distinguished Professor of Real Estate Finance at George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. I have been incredibly busy testifying in the Senate and the House (three times recently) along with meetings with Treasury and the Federal Reserve. This has given me the opportunity to talk with Pete Schaasfsma after all these years. I have one son at University of Virginia and the others are still in high school. No retirement in site since I still enjoy my job. Still playing golf when I get the opportunity. I have cut my international travel down to a dull roar (only Singapore, Rotterdam, Aberdeen in the last year). Hopefully, will take the family to Germany this summer. I was hoping to go the the reunion, but I was working with Congress on some legislation that is really important (and bad). Wish me luck! If you are ever in the DC area, give me a call!

Updated 23-Dec-2009. Life continues to be good. We spend our winters in Mill Valley and summers at the beach in North Carolina. We love being grandparents she is part of the magic in our life. Except for our trips back to the beach our travels have been cut short. I moved my Dad to Marin and taking care of him. I have made my time also available to our granddaughter. Just wish we could do something about getting more TIME!

Updated 13-Nov-2009. Hello Everyone! Love this web site! It's great to read about all of you & your families. Been living in the Pacific North- west for 31 years & love it (except the rain, of course!). My two sons, Tyler (31) and Brett (29), are both doing well and living in the Seattle area. After 31 years of marriage, Jim & I split up. I have a new man in my life, Michael who has 12 year old twins, Stephen & Kaitlyn. Am still working/playing with young children. Working in early childhood is alot of fun, the energy level definitely keeps you young! I also continue to work with young teenage mothers & their children--ever so challenging but greatly rewarding! Do want to thank all of you who worked sooo hard last summer to provide such a great reunion!!! Thank You!! If any of you are ever up in the Pacific Northwest, do call and/or stop by, would love to see you!

Updated 14-Jul-2009. Been married to Nancy (Kleinkauf) since 1975. I'm still working as a systems engineer for St Jude Medical in Sunnyvale and Nancy is still working at Homestead High School managing the activities office. All three kids are in So Cal. Erin (31) left Technicolor. She and her boyfriend own two pilates studios in the Silver Lake and Larchmont areas of LA. Meghan (28) is married to Jerry McGinn's nephew (Brian) and she works as a staff accountant for Deluxe. She and Brian still live a block from the ocean in Hermosa Beach. Thomas (25) graduated a year ago from UCLA and after a month of snowboarding in Chile and Argentina settled down to work for Medtronic in their Minimed division's sales group. He's living in Northridge at the moment, but looking to moving closer to Westwood. We enjoy being empty nesters, but we do have two crazy cats and a maniac border collie that demand our time and attention. I've taken up woodworking as a hobby -- just wish I had the space for a killer workshop, but for now the garage works fine. Nancy and I enjoy traveling and have been to Europe, Central America and Mexico several times. We use our travel time to pursue our interests of hiking and photography, though I think Nancy may be a bit tired of my tendency to photograph wildflowers. Next summer we're off to Greece and Italy. We look forward to retirement so we aren't tied to a school calendar for our travel, but that's probably a few years off still. We also have season tickets for Cal football (go Bears) and both of us find life generally gratifying.
