I'm looking forward to seeing my Awalt H.S. friends
for the 35th reunion. I have been living happily in
San Ramon, CA since 1997 with wife Melinda and our
two sons Matthew 16yrs and Cameron 12 yrs. We
celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary on 7-11-06. I
have worked for State Farm Ins. for 20 yrs. I got
back into doing oil paintings the last two years. I
just completed a new painting called "Corsair Launch
at Dawn" I'm excited about marketing a limited
edition of the painting which will be available in
the next few weeks thru WildArtgroup.com

What's New?
I married in 1975 to a Stanford Law student, Jim. He
took a job at Hallmark Cards in Kansas City, Missouri
after graduation. I also, work at Hallmark, 27 1/2
years. I'm looking foward to retirement. We have
one son Caleb. He is a junior in college at Carneige
Mellon in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. We are very
proud of him. We visit California often as my sister
and 2 brothers still live out there. Would love to
hear from old friends. I will be visiting the Bay
Area July 2006.

What's New?
I have moved further north along the coast of
Mendocino County and serve as the school
superintendent in the local district. I managed to
get a doctorate in education along the way. I still
have the house in Tomales and my wife Kathryn and I
see each other on weekends. Our son James is in
Oregon and working on an MBA when he is not working.
I am a volunteer firefighter and play guitar in a
blues band in my spare time. It's all good.

I just stumbled onto this website! After graduating
from college, I moved to Santa Rosa where I've lived
for 27 years. I'm married with one son. I worked in
Neurosurgery and Anesthesia at a local hospital for
many years before deciding to change careers. I was
an escrow officer for 10 years, and four years ago I
took a job with the county (great benefits!) My
husband and I have a small sailboat and we love to sail
and camp. If you know when the next reunion is, please

What's New?
The last 35 years have been healthy, happy and
prosperous in so many ways. Steve and I married in
1973 and lived in Whidbey Island, Washington, San
Francisco, while Steve finished school, and finally
settled in Boise, Idaho, where I finished my
undergrad in Business, and went on to receive a
Masters in Ed/Counseling. I have been working in the
mental health field for about the last 14 years as a
Licensed Prof. Counselor. We have two beautiful
daughters, Genna age 21, and Caley age 18. Genna is
finishing up her undergrad at UofO in Eugene, Oregon,
and Caley is a senior in HS. Steve had a very
successful career working for Hewlett Packard-Boise/
Corporate Marketing, and in 2003 we took an offer
from a competitor and moved to New Jersey. This was a
very interesting experience but it really made us
realize how much we valued the West. So, just this
last year we migrated back and we are living in
Eugene, Oregon. Steve is doing what he loves, flying,
and starting his second career in aviation. I am
involved in a great new program focusing on
healthcare for the underserved. Our children are
getting ready to start their adult lives, and Steve
and I are excited to see what the next 33 years have
in store. God Bless to you all, and maybe I will make
a reunion one of these years.

What's New?
Hello, all. After graduation from Awalt, I lived with
my family in Canada, Spain, Algeria, Switzerland and
the Netherlands. Finally made it back to the U.S. in
1975, to attend the University of Kansas. I married
R. Bruce Gardner the year before completing a BFA in
Industrial Design. We both worked in Kansas City for
a few years, where our two sons (Patrick and
Christopher) were born. Then in 1987 we moved to San
Mateo, CA. Bruce is an Art Director, and has worked
for the SF Newspaper Agency, the SF Giants, and IDG
Publications. I'm currently working as an Engineering
Project Manager for Apple Computer in Cupertino. We
recently bought our dream house (anyone buying a
house in the Bay Area has to be dreaming!) in Moss
Beach, just north of Half Moon Bay, and just east of
the Pacific Ocean. See you at the next reunion?

What's New?
After Awalt and "The Hill" I started
traveling for the restaurant business. I eventually
became an Executive Chef and traveled all over the
West Coast, LA, Santa Barbara,Oregon, and Washington
and Nevada. After marrying in Nevada we moved to
Olympia. I switched careers and am now in Sales in
Food Distribution. Divorced now but have three great
kids (teenagers)I coached all their sports teams and
see them all the time(especially when they need $) I
have talked with some of you who have caught me up on
others. When I see some of your names on this list I
have great memories. Wish I could have made it to the
last reunion, but work came first. I fly down to the
bay area once or twice a year to see family. Lots of
it doesn't even look familiar any longer, but the
memories come flooding back especially when I take the
trip over the hill to the beaches there. Some of you
know what I mean; weren't we there every day senior
year? the beaches up here don't compare. Don't get me
wrong, I love it up here, the country is still readily
accessible within 10 minutes. I have a great job (food
is is still a passion and I still do some caterings)
wonderful kids, and friends. But I gotta tell ya, now
that the Seahawks are in the same division as the
49ers I get razzed by all my friends whenever they
play each other cuz I'm still a 49er faithful!

After graduation, I attended DeAnza College and
obtained my AA Degree in Medical Assisting and became
a Certified Medical Assistant, June 1973. My career in
the medical field lasted for over thirty years.
William "Bill" Davis and I were married January 19,
1974. Six years later, we had a son Shaun William and
four years later, a daughter Shannon Lynn. Our son
graduated from Chico State, May 2004 and works for
Genetech and lives in Burlingame with his wife. Our
daughter lives in the Sacramento area and works for the
local water company.

Hi everyone. After Awalt I attended Foothill College
and graduated with a Degree in Phycology, I was
foolish and I got married and divorced, I have two
children, Cameron 29 (He was on the Price is Right
last year and won the Show Case, so he is going to
Hong Kong next week) and Ryan who is 27. I have one
awesome grandaughter - Emma Rose, she is 5 years old,
the daughter I never had. I am a Real Estate Broker
with my own office, the real estate market is slow
right now so if any of you need to move call me....
I have traveled all around the world, I've gone on
Mission Trips to Africa and the Philippines where we
had medical care, visit orphanges, help the poor,
etc... awesome experiences....I am currently single,
actually for the past 25 years, I almost got married
to the wrong guy again, but by the Grace of God that
did not happen, I'm still waiting for my Soul Mate...I
will be going to the reunion in October 2006 and I

What's New?
After many years working as a nurse, I changed careers
and now work in community and business development. I
have my own consulting business and work in strategic
planning with small businesses and non-profits. In
2005 I completed my Masters in Organizational
Development- who would've thought I'd go back to
school after all these years! I live in Santa Barbara
and enjoy riding my motorcycle and co-habitating with

I attended Fresno State after we graduated and
received a degreee in PE. Decided not to complete my
credential at that time because I had a job, an
apartment and a lot of party plans! Married my
husband in 1978, moved to Visalia (half way between
Fresno and Bakersfield) and had 2 daughters. I
completed my teaching credential in 1993 and am
currently teaching 2nd grade for Visalia Unified. I
added a masters in education from Fresno Pacific
University in 2001. My oldest daughter graduated from
Cal Poly with a degree in Ag Business and is
currently living in San Francisco and working for
Comerica Bank in Palo Alto as a loan officer. My
youngest daughter is finishing school and working
fulltime. My husband is in the nursery business. His
company grows and sells rose plants worldwide.

Following my graduation I fell into the semiconductor
industry and have continued to this day. I currently
work at Intel in New Mexico as the Fab 11
Manufacturing Manager.

I met my wife (Lynn) playing volleyball at Foothill JC
and we married in 1976. We have two girls. The oldest

After Awalt I played and taught Drums for several
years. At about 23 years old I decided to try
something new, so I took up flying. In 1979 I moved
to Puerto Rico to build flying time. While in P.R. I
lived on the beach, worked and played very hard.
My Career in aviation continued to advance and in
1989 I was hired by America West Airlines, I
recently changed from Boeing 737 Captain to
Airbus A320 Captain. I have been married since
1981 and have a son and daughter in High School.

Fullerton for 3 years, where I met my husband. We were
married on August 11, 1974 and moved to Lafayette, and
then to Pleasant Hill, where we currently live. I have
a B.A. degree from Cal State Hayward. I have two
children; Jessica, 23, recently graduated from Fresno
State and is currently working for a TV station in
Fresno; and Michael, 21, is a junior at San Diego
State. My husband is a private investigator, mostly
Workers' Comp and civil liability for attorneys and

What's New?
I moved to Lake Tahoe right after school where I did
floor coverings for five years. I got tired of the
rat race there so I moved to a small town in Oregon
in 1976 { out of the frying pan into the fire, now
Bend is the fastest growing town in Oregon} oh well
it is still beautiful. I did floor covering work
until 1983 when I took over a family farm in
Prineville, OR. I married a wonderful native
Oregonian lady {Sherrie} in 1982. We have one child,
Michelle born 1991, 1 dog, and 5 horses. The Lord has
been good to Sherrie and I, we farmed from 1983 until
1988 and then decided that we wanted to see the USA
before Michelle reached school age. So we moved back
into the house that I had built in Bend and bought a
semi-truck and 11 horse trailer and traveled the US
for 5 yrs doing comercial horse transportation. We
got to see every state except Maine. When it was
time for Michelle to start school we sold the
business and went back into construction as a General
Contractor and am still in that business.

To My Classmates,

Earlier this year I was nominated as The Leukemia and
Lymphoma Society’s Man of the Year for the Greater
Sacramento Area. I decided to accept the nomination
in memory of our classmates, Patty & Tom, and all of
us that have been touched by cancer in one-way or
another.

have not been good at attending reunions, but think of
you all often. After Awalt I went to Brigham Young
University and got an associate degree in University
Studies and a husband. Clyde and I have been married
for 35 years, have lived in St. Louis for 28 and have 3
kids, Kevin 33, Eric 28, and Amy Jean, 26.All are
married and Kevin has Annette 8, James 7
and Tate, 4 year old. I teach preschool and do tons of
volunteer work. I am loving adult children. My Eric is
living in Kansas City for dental school. It
will be so nice to have one living in the same
state.He is the Daddy of Davis,2 and has a baby girl
on the way. Amy is married and lives in Las Vegas. She
just had twins! Adam and Rachel. I

Since high school I’ve been busily climbing the hill
and now at 50 plus, I’m can confidently say I’m now
on top; although I suspect it’s a very slippery slope
on the other side. Life is too good to be true:
trophy wife, trophy marriage, trophy kids (19-son &
13 –daughter; 13-daughter, trophy friends (still
doing annual trips w/ Urv, Frees-er, Jay- Doc; my
brother Larry and Jay Pushkin too), trophy job
(Freddie Mac-mortgage finance) and truly, trophy

I started Racing motorcycles after Graduation and
stopped about 10 years ago to spend more time with my

What a strange trip it's been......Married since '79
to love of my life, two boys, now 17 & 18.
Lived in Truckee awhile then back in the Bay
Area until about 1985,as a self employed contractor,
then 4 years as a commercial real estate broker in San
Jose, then tried life in the desert near Tucson. Was a
caretaker (free rent!) on a 53,000 acre defunct cattle
and cotton ranch, near the Mexican border. In
1989,moved back up to Citrus Heights, still trying to
make a million in comm. real estate, didn't quite
happen so then back to contracting until 1995.
Traveled across the US on different projects, and
finally found paradise in the Mojave desert. Got into
TV biz, and am now the News Director of Nightly 5
O'clock News in North LA County. So like I said, it's
been a long strange trip, but a good one. Hope to see
you all at the 30 year reunion. Be there.....

Met my husband John Neal there. Have 2 grown
daughters, Jenny & Jamie. Jenny is married & they have

Hello!
I now live in the exact center of California, North
Fork (or so they claim). It's a tiny town near the
south end of Bass Lake (the southern entrance to
Yosemite National Park). My husband is the District
Ranger (U.S. Forest Service) for about a half a million
acres of Forest (Bass Lake Ranger District)and I'm
still busy teaching, training, mediating, and
facilitating. We like the new location (rustic, scenic,
and rural). There's little traffic, lots of fresh air
(when forest fires aren't burning), and plenty of
wildlife to keep things interesting. Take care all!

Single, 4 children Chad-1974, Dustin-1977, Jenny-1980,
Katie-1982 and 2 granddaughters, 2001 and 2002.

Live in Mulino, Oregon 1/2 hour SE of Portland
in an antique church (historical landmark) my son and
I converted to a large home in 1995.

I have an Engineering Sciences degree in Water
Quality. My son built me a water testing laboratory in
our home/church, whatever. I also teach adult classes
in several subjects.

The last 2 years, I have been a part-time US Postal
Letter Carrier. It's fun to visit folks, deliver mail,
and play Santa at Christmas Time.

All of my children live close-by, except my eldest. He
lives in Georgia for now - Great traveler.

God has been very good to me and my family. Trying to
repay the blessings with a Christian Clothing Exchange
in my basement, and sewing uniforms for our Christian
Academy, and doing upholstry for others. I really
believe in Pay it Forward!

Currently overseeing Continuity Programs for the
Department of State. Eligible to retire but I have
my youngest in Nazareth College (2010) - oldest is a
police officer in New York - but I'm looking forward
to that great day.

What's New?
Gee, after Awalt, I became a Travel Agent in which I
traveled extensively and ended up in beautiful
Nairobi, Kenya for 9 years. I have two great children
and a cutie for a grandaughter. Re-married 13 years
ago to Randy who is a general contractor. We have a
ranchette in Mt Shasta and recently bought a larger
place in Alturas, CA which we are fixing up and
adding onto for our animals. All the best to

My husband Mark and I moved to York, South Carolina
in August of 2005. After working full time for 34
years in Human Resources and Recruiting it was time
for a big change.

We live out in the country on one acre with our two
dogs Tessa and Luigi, and really have enjoyed the
slower pace, scenery and beauty that South
Carolina has to offer us. We grew tired of the
hectic pace, traffic, and cost of living in
California, even though it will always be home to
us.

Now, I am a "Domestic Goddess" and spend my time at
water aerobics, participating in the local community
theatre as a comedic actress, and I have my own Mah
Jongg Club called "The Joy York Club"! It all keeps me
off the streets and out of trouble that's for sure.
Being so close to the Caribbean my husband Mark and I
love to cruise, and most recently made a trip to
Honduras and swam with the dolphins a fabulous
experience.

Although we miss our family, and friends this has
been a good move for us. We look forward to
returning to California for visits from time to time.

What's New?
Hired by United Airlines in 1978, presently a B-767
captain. Own a large tax practice to keep busy in
spare time. My husband and I have just purchased a
house and coffee farm in Kona. I am already there 4
days each week so it will be fun to be able to pick
papayas, pineapples, bananas, lilikoi and avocados to
eat along with our Kona coffee. We expect to have
production up to over 100,000 pounds of coffee per
year very soon. We are about one thousand feet up on
the side of Hualalai, out of the rift zone (no molten
lava for us) with a view of the ocean at sunset every
night. We will keep our house on the mainland since
we really enjoy the summers in Pleasanton and we do
not enjoy all of the summer island vacationers and
traffic.

Graduated from San Diego State in 1976 with BA in
Recreation Rehabilitation. Worked for De Anza College
as a Vocational Ed instructor. Married to attorney,
Burke Long (class of '69)in 1978. Moved to La Selva
Beach in 1983. Two kids - daughter Keriann, 22 just
graduated from UCSB and Kevin, 19 is off to college
this fall.Worked at a preschool in La Selva while my
kids were that age and then volunteered in their
schools, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, team mom, etc. Still
involved in fundraising and such for Aptos High. Like
to spend free time working in my large garden,
traveling, playing tennis and visiting our second home
in Santa Barbara. Enjoyed reuniting with old friends
at the 30th class reunion recently, but missed a lot of
people who didn't come and would love to hear from
them.

I've been married for 31yrs and have two sons Derek
26yrs and Drew 23yrs old. I have been in conrete
construction work in some sort or another since I've
been out of High School. My wife (Cheryl) and I built
our own home and lived there for 10yrs till we sold it
last year to move into her chidhood home.We are about
60mi.west of Chicago which is where I work 90% of the
time.The house was built by her Great grandfather in
1875 and also the first settlers in this part of
northern IL. We all came back sept 99 to my neices
wedding at princton by the sea just north of Half Moon
Bay the weather was damp but it felt good anyway the
weather after Nov here is Cold till late April.

I'm a musician and private music teacher in Los Gatos. I'm a recording
artist and studying to be a recording enginer. I do a lot of session

Greetings to all ! Life has been good for me. I
have 3 children of my own, 27,25 and 11, and four
stepchildren,and 9 step grandchildren. We take big
family vacations every year to adventuresome spots.I
am a physician of Obstetrics and Gynecology in far
northern California-near Mt. Shasta. I have a private
practice and probably work way too much ! However, I
do enjoy what I do. I have a great husband, Mike, who
is a heating/AC contractor. My 25yo son was married
in Chicago last summer, and now lives there. My 27yo
daughter has a masters in Ed. and teaches in Yreka.
My 11yo daughter is in 6th grade and does theater-
she's a talented actress, dancer and singer. I'd

What's New?
Hi to all! I went to the 30 year reunion, but have
not been to any other reunions over the years. After
graduating from Awalt, I went to the Univ. of
Washington, and graduated with a B.S. in chemistry. I
got married a year before graduation, and we decided
to have a family before starting in on my career
plans. We had 2 children, Maria- who is now 29, and
is married, and a teacher in Yreka, and Christopher-
now 27, who is married and in construction, in
Chicago.We lived in Seattle, then Portland, then
Lima, Peru, then Charleston, South Carolina. I then
went to Medical School in Charleston, graduating in
1986. I divorced during that time, then stayed in
Charleston for my residency in Obstetrics &
Gynecology. I came to Yreka, CA in 1990, and have
been here ever since. I met my husband shortly after
moving here- Michael, who is a heating and AC
contractor. I have my own business here- a private
practice of Ob/Gyn, with 2 nurse practitioners who
work for me also. Since re-marrying I gained 4 step-
children, and we had a child together, Olivia, who is
13 now. We have 13 grandchildren! Life has been good
for me, and my family. I really enjoy what I do for a
living, and small town life has a lot of advantages.
We do a lot of skiing, hiking, backpacking, boating--
whatever can be done in the outdoors! My brother
Norman Shaskey, who lived in Mountain View up until
about a year ago, now lives in Yreka also. If any one
wants to come and visit me here, give me a call.

What's New?
Life has been very good to me. I have traveled the
world, married a handsome Italian, and created two
careers; one as a professional singer (jazz) and one
as a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist. These two
careers actually compliment one another. I am never
bored.

Leonard and I never had children. We found ourselves
devoting our lives to fighting child abuse and
helping those children who are already here. We did
adopt one child along the way, Danielle, who is now
37 with 2 children - our grandchildren; Catie 12 and
Chandler 10. They fill our lives with love.

We live on the beautiful Central Coast and travel to
Italia often. We have a menagerie of animals and a
love for the outdoors. As I said belfore, life is
gooooooooooooood. Can't wait to see you all this
October, 2006

I have been living in Montara, (Half Moon Bay area) for
the past 22 years. One town away from Denny Devine (our
kids grew up together but I still want to call him Mr.
Devine and yes he's still cute). I am married to
Charlie and have three sons, Bryan Garibaldi 32, Kevin
Garibaldi 28 and Mike MacDougall 18. Mike just
graduated from HMB High so I'm happy to have the last
one through. He broke 8 swim team records in High
school and will continue to swim in college. I ran the
computer at the meets and was Meet Director for US
Swimming. A lot different from when we kept score by
hand at Awalt swim meets. Charlie, Bryan and Kevin are
all Union Electricians. Bryan is married with two
children, Jake 7 & Sophia 5, and lives in Half Moon
Bay. Kevin lives in Florida near his Dad and will be
married in 07. When I'm not doing something for the
kids and grandkids, I try to fit in my job as the
Controller of a Seafood Company, in Princeton.
I'm looking forward to seeing some old, wait I mean
past, friends at the reunion.

I moved to Lake Tahoe in 1972 and met my wife,
Stephanie, in 1977. We had a son in 1980 and moved to
Placer County in 1987, where we bought our first home
in Loomis. Two years later, we purchased another home
on 5 acres in Penryn. It is a beautiful piece of
property and we love it. I have been in the Drywall
Trade since 1972, residental and commercial.

What's New?
I only spent one year at Awalt but sure have some
great memories. I have been in LA for 21 years. I
have three daughtes and will be a grandfather in
June. I got remarried in 95 to my best freind and it
has been wonderful ever since. I still keep wokring
on my music have a couple of CDs that were intended
for publishing. We have had a nice life here but the
time is coing to get out of LA I still love the Bay
Area and though my folks are gone I still love going
up and playing tourist in SF. I am still in the corp
world and look forward to leaving that behind. Spent
many years at Yamaha and JBL loud Speakers and now I
am on the search for my last job before I retire. I
am sorry I missed the reunion I do have great
memories of Awalt and all the great people I met
there.

I went to UC Davis after Awalt, and 4 years later I
had a BS in Genetics. That led to a job in Hollister
California with Ferry-Morse Seed Company as a plant
breeder. After graduation from Davis, I visited there
frequently, and met my wife at a party there. We were
married in 1978, and we have lived in Hollister
since. We have a 17 year old son and a 13 year old
daughter. My son is playing all of the major high
school sports, and while watching one of the varsity
baseball games last year, the local reporter turned
out to be John Reid, which is how I got connected to
this website. I hope to catch up with everyone at the
reunion.
