Updated 21-Jul-2010. I graduated with BSEE from Santa Clara in 1984. I then worked for Westinghouse in Sunnyvale, as an Engineer till 1992. I worked with inner-city kids, in my free time for Bayshore Christian Ministries, and owned a home, in E Palo Alto. It was a very rewarding experience, seeing some kids choose a better way besides, gangs, violence and drugs. I then moved to Tri-Cities and Yakima, WA and worked in a variety of engineering and supervisorial duties, at the Hanford DOE Facility, for Westinghouse Hanford Co. I also got a MBA from City University. In 1996 I took a Engineering Position at Tavis Corp in the scenic and historic town of Mariposa. I enjoyed my pleasant commute, North on Highway 49, from Oakhurst & Ahwahnee. I have been working for Raytheon in Tucson since 2001. I very much enjoy the camping and hiking opportunities near Tucson. I was married to Lisa in 1992 and have 4 beautiful children, Cynthia 17, Dominic 14, Monica 12 & Anna 10. Lisa and I separated in 2007 and our divorce was finalized in April 2010, but life goes on! We get along OK so that makes it better for the kids. A little long winded, but that is some of my life story since 1980. I can't believe it has been 30 years. I only made the 10 year reunion. Does anybody know of any other Awaltians that live in AZ? I am looking forward to the 30 year reunion on July 24 in San Jose. This website is cool!

Updated 19-Jul-2010. My family and I are moving to Stockholm Sweden next week. We'll be gone for two years. My wife, Rachel, and I will be working with New Life Church in Stockholm, helping them plant churches. The kids are 16,14,13 and 10. Girl, boy, girl, boy. They are excited about the adventure. It is our desire to share the good news that God, through the death and resurrection of his Son, has made it possible to have a living, real and eternal relationship with Him. God Bless~ Blake

Updated 25-Aug-2009. I am, after 25 years, still working for 'the phone company'! It's been Pacific Bell, SBC and now the new AT&T! I've had many jobs over the years and currently I lead a 13-State System Test team and we have 3 major software releases a year. After much searching...I finally found the love of my life in 1996 (there he was sitting in the cubicle across from me) and we married in 1999! No kids, but we have a small zoo with 2 parrots, a cat and a dog. UPDATE: In May 2007 AT&T outsourced my entire organization to Amdocs, who promoted me to manager of the team I was working on. Had a good ride, but was laid off in July this year. For me, this is a good thing because I hated working for Amdocs. Currently I’m in work-a-holic recovery and taking it easy until my severance runs out…then, time for a new job!
