Graduated from San Diego State (on the extended
studies program) and spent a few years after college
living and working in L.A. Moved back to the Bay Area
in 91 and started my career in telecommunications with
AirTouch. Got married in 95 to my lovely wife Mary
Anne. We have one daughter, Margarita, and a Golden
Retriever, Savannah. Moved back down to Southern
California in summer of 2005, living in San Clemente
(The OC) 3 miles from the beach And believe it or
not I am still close
friends with my buddy Dean Stephanos after all these
years.

What's New?
Been teaching High School 8 years now...
It's a neat deal working with teens, I'm surprised how
important I am in their lives.

We've won our state SkillsUSA competetion for TV
Production 5 years running and my kids are 2009
SkillsUSA National Champions.

Still married! Julie (21 years) who'd have thunk
it? Mychal (daughter) is 20 and a JUNIOR at BYU.
Andrew is 19, 6'3' 250, completed a year playing
football at Southern Virginia University, was
Offensive Rookie of the year and is transfering to
Idaho State University this year to play. Christian
and Robert (16 & 13) are our farmers and care for the
cows, horses, geese, chickens, cats, a goat, a sheep,
salamanders, frogs...

Our little farm continues to thrive with 6 cows, 6
calves and a bull.

Hope all is well with everyone, life HAS been good to
me.

I've been working at Stanford in Mechanical
Engineering Design since 1986. Great job with great
people on a great campus.

Married Sean Burns in September of 1993. We live in

Hi Everyone,
Here is a brief update...
After college I worked in finance for 15 years at 2
different local companies. In 1993 I met and soon
married my wonderful husband, Steve. We now enjoy 3
beautiful children, Kevin (6), Monique (3), and Nicole
(1). Two years ago I made a career change to become a
stay-at-home mom ~ and love it! I'm really enjoying
life and continue to have great frienships with fellow
alumni Bonnie Braymen (Cromartie) and Rebecca Smith
(Passarello).

Hello All,

Although I did not graduate from Awalt (my sister and
brother graduated from Mountain View High) I knew
many of you and have kept in touch with Awalt
grads not listed here.

After Blach, I went to Bellarmine in San Jose, then to
UC San Diego and then MIT. About as far away as I
could go from CA:)

I currently own an advertising sales company. My
wife, Laura, is the creator and owner of My
Playground. (www.playgroundcentral.com). We have two
children, Grace (6 1/2) and Aaron (4 1/2). Both are
on the site and Aaron is the ham on the home page.
The kids are both avid downhill and x-country
skiers. My new experiement this year was skate
skiing. For those who have not tried this, it has to
be one of the best overal workouts I have ever had.
I am up to 20k 3x/week.

We have lived in Truckee for almost 10 years and hope
to stay a lot longer.

While I didn't attend Awalt, I did attend Oak School
and Graduated Blach Jr. High with many of you. Just
seeing many of your names evokes some great memories
of times past. I left Los Altos in September of 77 for
Wisconsin and remain to this day. I am married with 2

Hi Everyone - Didn't make to the reunion but would
have liked to. I've been living in San Diego since
graduating from SDSU (Marketing). I started in retail
mgt., and have been an apparel buyer for the last 9
years.

Married for 15 years to my husband Ross, a Marine
Biologist, and have two great kids; Alex (11) and
Sierra (9). We have a couple of cats that have been
banished to the outdoors, and a dog that is lucky her
hair matches the wood floor.

Hi you guys!

After I scribbled in your year books and said my
goodbyes to most of you, I left Chester-F for the
"Hill", Foothill that is. Spent 2 years there taking GE
and a curriculum of Commercial Art. Then it was off to
SJ State for 2.5 years where I received my BS in Graphic
Design (don't figure, I was always into art). I took a
couple months off after that and decided to travel to
Australia, Canada and Mexico. Wow, that was an eye-
opener. Love the Aussies. May have married one had I
stayed longer.

The traveling didn't last long without the money flow
and my Awalt buddies were still going through school, so
in August of 87 I went to work for Lockheed in
Sunnyvale. In 89 I purchased a home in the Evergreen
area of San Jose and thought - life is great! I've been
with Lockheed now for 15 years as an Art Director
creating proposals, exhibits, designing brochures and
such (yeah, still drawing the pictures). Its been a lot
of fun working on programs like the Hubble Space
Telescope and the International Space Station.

I met my beautiful wife, Carol, at Lockheed in 95 and we
have been married now for 7 years. We purchased a home
and acreage together, in Gilroy, among the vineyards and
farms. Our three cats and 10 chickens keep us busy at
home since we chose not to have kids. Too much fun
traveling! We've been all over Indonesia, Europe,
Central America, and so many additional countries in the
Tropics as we both love to SCUBA dive too.

Seems from what I've read here that many of you have
been blessed with wonderful lives. And the kids! My
gosh, get those TVs fixed! Take care!

After only 13 years Dwight and I finally tied the
knot! We have been married for almost 11 years now.
We are still living here in the Bay Are and we spend
our time enjoying our 6 and 2 year old Daughters, the

of years then on to SDSU. While in San Diego I got
my pilots licence and really enjoyed flying. So I
moved back to the bay area and finished my degree

I have been working in the commercial construction
industry in the Silicon Valley for the past 22 years,
most recently as a VP of business development.
Married Phyllis Jagodzinski in '97, and together we
had triplets who are now 9 years old.

I am still very much into sports, having created a
non-profit running club called "Heals for Meals". I
have run numerous marathons and more than 70 1/2
marathon "trail" races.

Believe it or not, I am a chemistry professor at
American River College in Sacramento. I guess that
makes sense since I was the only person in my high
school chemistry class that knew how many grams are in
an ounce. Laughs... I live in Coloma with my wife,
who went to Palo Alto high school and graduated in
1983. We met in high school, went separate ways, and
met again about 7 years ago. We are both professional
river guides in the summer and do lots of rafting
throughout the year. After HS, I worked in the
sailing industry for 4 years, cruised and raced
sailboats in the SF Bay, ocean, and many places
within the US, pursued rock climbing, grew up a
little, and eventually went to college at UC Davis,
and earned a Ph.D. in environmental chemistry. During
my graduate days I became fond of teaching, and then
started my career in teaching right after grad
school. I have always liked adventure activities, and
more recent activities have included multi-day rafting
trips in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and in
south east Alaska, car traveling deep in Baja
California, and lots of one day class IV and V river
trips. Overall, all is very good in my life. Drop me

Hi all! Geez, what to say? I live in a great place
called Clayton on Mt. Diablo. It's near Walnut Creek.
I run a doggie day care and boarding facility which
is really more of a doggie fitness camp. It's
ridiculously fun and it's probably wrong to accept
money for what I do. :)

I'm single but spend a lot of time with my very smart
and handsome dog. I still love tennis, wine
tastings, travel, horses, gardening...despite the
darn deer (cutest VERMINE in the world!),and people
who make me laugh.

Spain for 2 years, and SF) with Tracy, our son Sage, (born 7.03.02) and

It seems like a hundred years ago I graduated from
Blach junior high and spent time at Awalt. My mom
and step-dad took a stab at homeschooling my sister
and me but I ended up following my own path leading
me to the mountains of Colorado in 1984. I've been
married since 1990 and work for the Summit School
District in early childhood education. I ride
motorcycles in the summer and ski\snowboard in the
winter. I miss the beach terrribly and visit

States Adaptive Recreation Center (www.usarc.org) and
teach the disabled to ski in the winter at Bear
Mountain and to Waterski in the summer. I LOVE this
program and will be working on my level one PSI's
this year in adaptive. If you ever head this way to

Went to the 25th reunion, and was glad to see everyone
that showed. For those who could come and remember me,
heres some info.
I'll be married for 24 years this November (to a
Fremont graduate). Have 4 great kids. My 21 yr old is
a chef at a Marriott Hotel. My 17 yr old will be a Sr
this year & looking at a career in Japanese Animation.
My surprise gifts are my twins, a boy (Dominick) and a
girl (Angelina)& will turn 6 this August, starting 1st

Hi All,

As of summer 2003, I am working in Miami and doing a
lot of travel. Anybody else in Miami? I came to Miami
for work, to do in-house legal and finance work -- an
offer I couldn't refuse. I'm now learning real
Spanish. Where is Senorita Blach when I need her most?
I still have a home in Los Altos, which I miss, and
come back to visit it as often as I can. Still not
married...still playing with cars whenever I
can...still addicted to college football...still can't
dance...no longer afraid of flying...still roll up my
sleeves in the snow. :)

What's New?
Life is good! Erik and I got married in February
1986, a year and a half later our family started to
grow. First, Sven('87) followed by Gayle('89),
Nigel('92), William('94), Joy('98), Samuel('00) and
finally Sawyer('06) That's 5 boys and 2 girls to keep
them in line. We live under the redwoods in Felton
(Santa Cruz Mountains) where I love to spend time
outside hiking in the woods.
While Erik works as a carpenter building and fixing
stuff, I stay home enjoying the kids (and trying to
keep them from breaking stuff). Our life is simple
and our activities revolve around our family, our
church and hanging out with our friends.

Hello everyone ! Ghost from the past here.Well I was
something of a ghost even back on campus.Sorry I
missed graduation(life got in the way).
However, I want to thank Shawn West for
being such an inspiration.The week after the drama
club got back from the Ashland Oregon Shakespeare
fest I discovered that I didn't have the fortitude
for "accelerated" French but did have a new passion
for acting and theatre.
Life has been full of drama ever since
(sometimes I take enforced sabbaticals).In '82 I
joined up with a christian outreach choir,The
Starfire Singers from the methodist church in Los
Altos.Lots of singing and acting and tours for four
years.Cameraderie to last a lifetime(oh no he spoke
French!).Starting in '83 I began to do plays and
musicals around the South Bay and then went pro in
1990.I moved to Los Angeles in '92 to study method
acting
and help form a "meth. rep. co."(no drugs needed).
Instead of a repertory company I did a
lot of acting in film and on t.v.. I was able to work
on three episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation
and 40 on Star Trek:Deep
Space Nine ; part of which allowed me to join the
Screen Actor's Guild ( some t.v. is shot on film ).
Moving to San
Francisco in 1996 I went on a "life experience" 8
week theatre tour
around the Mid-west. I returned to Los Angeles for a
year and after a failed attempt ( now inspiration for
a book) at a European theatre tour, I recovered back
in Northern California for 3 years and relocated to
Monterey in 2001. The Summer of 2005 saw me doing two
plays at the Shakespeare "Festival" in Carmel and
that Fall I made my first apperance at a Science
Fiction Convention that has resulted in some great
opportunities as well as possible Convention
appearances in the future.After 7 years I am acting
again as well as writing and life is starting to look
up again.

I'm glad I found this website to read about
everyone! I graduated from Baylor University, Waco,
TX in 1985 and graduate school in 1986. Married for
almost 20 years with two boys 12 and 8 years old.
Lived for a short while in Dallas after graduation,
moved to Sunnyvale for 5 years and then to Houston
since 1992. It's hot and humid but we love it. I
worked in computer peripheral sales and marketing and

I’m so happy to have found this. As some of my friends
(may) remember, I didn’t actually graduate with my
class. My family moved to the Stanford area and I
graduated from Gunn. But since I grew up with most of
you I’ve always considered Awalt to be my High School.
Any way, I pretty much stuck around the area and after
a short stint with the Sheriff's office I
became a Paramedic. I’ve seen a few of you from
time to time under less then ideal conditions but
don’t worry my lips are sealed…

In ’91 my wife Suzanne and I moved to Vermont for a
few years but moved back when we found it wasn't for
us. We’re now living in Georgetown, CA(Between Taho
and SAC)
My only regret is losing my
year books in a house fire so I can’t match the names

Nice to read all about all of you and where you have
been. I graduated from Univ. of Denver with BSBA and
then went to work. It has been a whirlwind ever since.
I married Tim 17 years ago. We moved back to CA.in 89'
then moved to Singapore, then Manila, then Bangkok,
then Surabaya,Indonesia,Malaysia and now back to the
states in Scottsdale, AZ. My husband is in
the hotel business so we have been around and it has

What's New?
I just stumbled across this website recently, and I
really enjoyed reading everyone's bios. After Awalt,
I spent 8 years at U.C. Davis for college, and then
Medical School, interspersed by a year of dealing
blackjack and skiing in South Lake Tahoe. I then
moved to SoCal for my residency, and spent 3 tough
years in San Bernardino County (nasty place), before
finding my way into the San Diego area, which I fell
in love with. I have a great job as a Family
Practioner with a medium sized medical group, which is
a half mile from my house, which allows me the time to
surf and golf, and spend time with my family. I've
been married for 4 years to my beautiful wife,
Adrianne, who is also a physician, and is currently
completing her training in Gastroenterology (yes, she
is the master of the butt jokes). We recently had our
first son, Ryan, in 8/05, and I just love being a
dad. We live in a great little beachfront cottage,
which has a surfcamera in our backyard (you can see
live video on wavewatch.com "Swami's cam"), and we are
planning to start a complete remodel of our home, this
Summer, 2006. Life is good.

Met a girl ther from Linbrook, celebrated our 20th
Anniversary last year. We have 2 boys now 14 & 15.
In 2000 I went back to school at Sac State and got my
BS in Mechanical Engineering. I am now working at a
medium sized Custom fabrication & Welding shop in Yuba
City.
After not playing any music for ten years after High
School, I joined a Marching Band in Sacramento. The

After graduating from Biola University in 1985 in La
Mirada, CA I got married in October of that year and
have been married for almost 14 years now. My husband
Todd and I live in Southern California - we bought a
home a little over 3 years ago. We don't have any
children, just a very bratty but adorable cat who
entertains us all the time!

I worked at a Radio organization for 11 years called
Insight for Living. I now work at a huge computer
distributor called Ingram Micro. I have been there
almost 2 1/2 years and find it very challenging.

What's New?
After Awalt, went to UCSB and somehow managed to double
major in Psych and Sociology, and then, went to SJSU to
get a Masters in Social Work. Got married in the
interim to Mike. Happily worked at Kaiser Santa Teresa
for over 5 years, then had my first son, Jon, who ended
up with moderate CP (birth trauma) and made working
impossible with all his appt's as a young un. SO,
since I was home anyway, had another son, Chris. When
both were settled in school, got interested in the
field of assistive technology-technology for the
disabled, and got my AT Certification from CSUN. Now,
have a 14year old honors student (CP maybe, but smarter
than me) and an active 9 year old , live in SOuth San
Jose with Mike, my kids, and a dog and a cat. Work
with the iTech Center at Parents Helping Parents.

I am still in MV, I am a single parent with one

Australian Allison. Went to Australia twice in 2003
and fit in New Zealand as well...

SInce 1981....I went to Harvard on the Hill
(uh....Foothill) for three years, and then went to San
Jose State, got my degree in International Business
with a Spanish minor. After 13 years with PacTel
Paging/Air Touch Paging/Cellular One and AT&T
Wireless, and a good part of 2003 with a startup, I
am going back to wireless and Verizon Wireless in Feb
2004. I am living in Redwood Shores.

Love wine (working on a makeshift wine cellar) and
travel; been to 39 countries and five continents so
far..trying to keep going with a new country for each
of my years..Let's get together, would love to hang

What's New?
Wow I found this place by a fluke. I had moved to
Summit County Colorado and learned to ski by being a
lift attendant. "You have to come down the mountain
some time!" Then I taught skiing and did some Ski
Patroling. I then went off to Glenwood Springs to do
some Commercial Art. Got married Jan of 89 and then
started a family. I have Nathan 13, Victoria 11,
Shelby 9, Bryce 7, Garen and Madison 6, and finally
Zachary 4. Okay I was a little busy on the side. We
also have a Golden Retriever Ellie, Chocolate Lab
Hershey Bar, Two cats, Sprocket and Woody. Three fish
and a Canary named Beethoven.
We've lived in Littleton Colorado after Victoria was
born. Had the next bunch of kids there except for
Shelby. She was born in California.. Long story
there. We then moved to Billing Montana. God knows
why. This is the worst place for kids and they are
about 7 years behind everyone else in the country.
I'm now divorced. Right now I'm home schooling all
but Nathan. I design dolls for my ex-mother in-law's
doll company even though I'm not the daughter in-law.
She likes me. I miss skiing and the mountains. Yes
they have them here, but they are 2 hours away. Not
the quick drive it used to be in Colorado. But the
rat race of Denver was like the 405 in LA. Now that
I've gone on and on. Let me know if any of you
remember me. Probably not. I think everyone thought I
was gay. That's why I never was asked to a dance. LOL

Hmm. After my 3 semesters at Awalt....Spent some
time at Foothill College, got involved with KFJC
which was fun. Went to New York for a year. Too
much fun. Decided I'm not really a fan of poverty,
returned to CA to attend UC Santa Cruz. Maybe I am a
fan of poverty: got a BA in philosophy. Stayed in
Santa Cruz for nearly 10 years. Then I moved back
over the hill, went to SJSU for a while, where I
picked up a masters in librarianship and worked at
Santa Clara University for a couple of years. Then
my feet began itching again, so I moved to
Minnesota. Four years in central MN was plenty for
me; back to San Francisco, where I worked for the San
Francisco Opera; no, not as a singer, not even as a
librarian. By this time I was deeply immersed in
working in information systems and competitive
intelligence in the non-profit sector. Made the
mistake of falling back in love with a man I hadn't
been in contact with since I lived in NY - followed
my heart and moved to central Massachusetts. Worked
at UConn for a while. Remembered why I fell out of
love with him the first time. Split with UConn.
Despite my reasons for having moved here no longer
pertaining, decided that I love my life & home here.
Now work as a consultant to a variety of non-profits
and *love* it. Love my home, which is ruled by the
iron paw of a 10lb toy poodle named Emma (have
realized the true meaning of the word "dogged").
Recently my well was struck by lightning the night
before my 40th birthday party, and I wished I could
call a landlord. In the normal course of events,
however, I love my home in the woods in a tiny town
in the midst of nowhere.
