What's New?: Spend most of my time travelling. Currently hanging my
sombrero in Costa Rica.

Bounce around the good ol' U. S. of A., mostly west
of the Mississippi when not down here. Home base
(sorta) is Vancouver WA, but not for long.

Making another run to Kazakstan in May to teach
baseball. Wanna come along?

What's New?: Every time I travel with my family across the sea to
enjoy theatre in London, a Parisian cafe, or the local
French market to replenish our table with fresh
baguettes, cheeses and red wines, I wish I could say
I'm retired. Nowadays, one can find me directing a
state-funded program at San Francisco State University
to train county child welfare and adult protective
services workers throughout the greater SF Bay Area,
and beyond.

Through the years I've worked in the private nonprofit
sector in mental health, and for local county
governments in health and human services. I guess
I've always been attracted to serving the public and
to community service, like many of us who were molded
by the idealism of the 1960s and 1970s. I've also
taught at the undergraduate and graduate levels for
the University of California (Berkeley), San Francisco
State University, and the California School of
Professional Psychology.

After graduating from Awalt HS, I took up roots at UC
Berkeley where I received my BA and Ph.D. in
psychology (clinical). My parents were very happy (did
I say VERY happy?) when I finally left school to start
earning a living.

Maintaining a healthy balance between work and play is
important, so I indulge in ballroom dancing,
photography, travel, cruises, dining out, wine
tasting, and walking the dog (not a great form of
exercise since he pauses all too frequently,
especially when he's nearing the house). Aside from
stumbling across the dance floor in my best imitation
of "Dancing With the Stars," I also enjoy watching
good romantic comedies, action films, and travel
documentaries. I also think it's great to get
reacquainted with old classmates.

What's New?: Retired in 2001 from The County of Santa Clara
Sheriff's Department after twelve years as
Headquarters Patrol Secretary. Three marriages, a
son and a daughter, four grandchildren. Raising my
ten year old granddaughter. Still good friends with
Linda Phillips Stafford. Living in Mariposa county
halfway between Mariposa and Oakhurst on seven acres
at 3,400 ft. My husband commutes to P.G.& E. in
Merced and is close to retiring.

What's New?: I graduated with BSEE from Santa Clara in 1984. I
then worked for Westinghouse in Sunnyvale, as an
Engineer till 1992. I worked with inner-city kids,
in my free time for Bayshore Christian Ministries,
and owned a home, in E Palo Alto. It was a very
rewarding experience, seeing some kids choose a
better way besides, gangs, violence and drugs.

I then moved to Tri-Cities and Yakima, WA and worked
in a variety of engineering and supervisorial duties,
at the Hanford DOE Facility, for Westinghouse Hanford
Co. I also got a MBA from City University.

In 1996 I took a Engineering Position at Tavis Corp
in the scenic and historic town of Mariposa. I
enjoyed my pleasant commute, North on Highway 49,
from Oakhurst & Ahwahnee.

I have been working for Raytheon in Tucson since
2001. I very much enjoy the camping and hiking
opportunities near Tucson.

I was married to Lisa in 1992 and have 4 beautiful
children, Cynthia 15, Dominic 11, Monica 10 & Anna
8. Unfortunately Lisa and I separated last year and
we are in the process of divorce, but life goes on!

A little long winded, but that is some of my life
story since 1980. I can't believe it has been 28
years. I only made the 10 year reunion. Does
anybody know of any other Awaltians that live in AZ?
