Updated 25-Aug-2010. Was supposed to graduate in '64 at Awalt but dad was transfered to Westfield, NJ in winter of '63. Graduated from there but my heart was at Awalt. Like everyone I went to college, a JC in San Bernadino in 64-65 then transfered to Cal Poly at Pomona and graduated with a BS in Horticulture in '68. My wife also graduated from Cal Poly in 69 and we were married in June. We were in the SF bay area for about 7 years with her as a Lab Technologist at Kaiser-Permanente hospital in San Jose and I changed occupations 3 times. I went from commercial rose grower foreman to an apartment repair person to a general contractor. In '76 we moved to Lake Tahoe where I built houses and my wife ran a laboratory there. We lived there for 18 years, in various houses, and in '93 we moved to Reno, where we are presently. We have 2 daughters, Andrea(30) an RN in town, and Amie(27) a paralegal here in town. Andrea married John Raimo in July of '09 and Amie married Calob Juve in Sept. of '08. Calob works for Granite Construction in Reno and John works for an L.A. company overseeing rehabilitation facilities in Northern California. Went to a terrific Waterpolo reunion for the '63/'64 champions and had a terrific time and enjoyed seeing all the maturing classmates. Thanks to Annette Neilsen for coordinating the reunion. Hope more to occur.

Updated 11-Aug-2010. (entered in 2010) A lot happens in a decade - mostly kids grow up and people die - my mother passed away last year, and I've lost an aunt, a cousin, a precious sister-in-law, too many co-workers... but life goes in. One of my two sons is in Sacramento, the other is moving to Texas; both are trained as mechanics. I split my time between living with my father in Los Altos weekdays (I still work at Apple) and taking Dad with me to our Moss Beach home on weekends. Never underestimate the value of finding your soul- mate. None of this would have been possible without my husband, Bruce. We are blessed to have each other. (entered in 1999) Hello, all. After graduation from Awalt, I lived with my family in Canada, Spain, Algeria, Switzerland and the Netherlands. Finally made it back to the U.S. in 1975, to attend the University of Kansas. I married R. Bruce Gardner the year before completing a BFA in Industrial Design. We both worked in Kansas City for a few years, where our two sons (Patrick and Christopher) were born. Then in 1987 we moved to San Mateo, CA. Bruce is an Art Director, and has worked for the SF Newspaper Agency, the SF Giants, and IDG Publications. I'm currently working as an Engineering Project Manager for Apple Computer in Cupertino. We recently bought our dream house (anyone buying a house in the Bay Area has to be dreaming!) in Moss Beach, just north of Half Moon Bay, and just east of the Pacific Ocean. See you at the next reunion? Hope so! Donna

Updated 5-Aug-2010. I think it's about time to update my bio. It's only been 4 years since the last time! My daughter Amy is 35 and she's living in Olympia with her partner PJ and my two beautiful grandchildren, Riley 11 years and Mackenzie 9 years. My son Jeff is 24, he got his degree in Psychology and is working for a private company as a house manager for the mentally disabled. He also is a pitching coach for a team of 18 and 19 year old men. My son Cody is 22, going to be a senior at St. Martins University in the Fall, his major is business. He is also playing baseball this summer for the Kitsap Blue Jackets. This summer we traveled around watching him play baseball. I retired in May 2003 from United Airlines, after almost 34 years. I was ready and very happy about it. My husband Denny and I will be celebrating our 30 year anniversary in Nov. 2010. He has a web site <www.ontherunevents.com> for runners. You should check it out! I completed my college studies and got an Associate of Arts degree (Liberal Arts) at South Puget Sound Community College in Dec 2007. It's never too late. I am now a para-educator in the deaf education dept. and also work with the developmentally delayed children at an elementary school for the North Thurston School District. I love working with the younger kids. I have been working there for 7 years. My goal is to go back to college again and take American Sign Language so I can sign better to our hearing impaired kids. I hope everyone is Healthy and Happy, I AM! God Bless You All, Love Carol

Updated 3-Aug-2010. After Awalt I attended 4-5 JC's around the State. Ended up at UC-Davis where I graduated in Food Science and Technology. This eventually lead to a Quality Control Managers job with the Smucker company in Watsonville\Salinas. Got an MBA. After 19-years with Smuckers we got tired of each other. So before they fired me I quit and in 1999 we left for Israel where I became the manager of a 165 ac garden, along the lines of Golden Gate Park. Half teh staff is local Arab- Israelis and the other half youth from all over teh world. It was a real special time. We left in 2006, traveled through Asia then landed in Santa Cruz. I got my real estate brokers license and have been selling real estate. Have been married since 1973, have two kids and three grandkids. Easing into retirement. Life has been very good to me.

Updated 3-Aug-2010. Hi! It's fun reading the career paths we've all taken - quite a diversity. I have a BA and MBA from UCBerkeley, then spent nine years as a Director of Marketing for first a medical equipment company, then a computer peripheral company. I started Suzanne's Muffins in 1986 which grew to ten Bay Area stores, a wholesale division and a national mail-order division. It was getting to be way too much so in 2001 I closed the business. My husband Allan and I live in Los Altos Hills and Atherton (currently building the Atherton home while we live in LAH) and have three wonderful kids. Aaron (27) attended Harvard and Boalt and is an attorney at Davis Polk in Menlo Park. Aimee (25) received both BS and MS at Stanford, and is working as an environmental scientist at Aspen in SF. Jordan (22) just graduated from Carleton College. I now spend the majority of my time volunteering for various groups and causes including the Stanford Parents Club, the Friends of the Library, League of Women Voters, Organizing for America, the MVLA Community Center and various food banks.
