Updated 10-Feb-2010. After 15+ years in pharmaceutical research, I recently left Pfizer to start a second career as HS math and science teacher. 'best decision I every made. Claudette and I will celebrate our 23rd anniversary this year. Spencer is now 15 and Audrey is 12, and we still live with an assortment of labrador retrievers, cats and a pony. When I manage to find free time, priorities are still playing tennis and homebrewing. Feb 2010 Update: Last June I learned that I had stage 4 throat cancer. After lots of chemo, radiation and 7 months from hell, I had a clean PET scan in December! I am so thankful for my amazing doctors, friends and family! I returned to work January 19 and am still grinning to have a life again. I am under close watch for a couple of years, but am enjoying every day. Spencer will be a freshman at the U of Michigan College of Engineering in the fall. Audrey is now a sophomore in high school. We weren't really able to celebrate, but our 25th wedding anniversary was in September. I love teaching more than ever.

Updated 7-Feb-2010. Married Carol Schreyer. Her brother Mike was in our class and has since been sent way up topside to be with the 'Big Guy'. Carol & I have been married for 38 years. Really? She is still my best friend and I love her very much. Believe it or not I'm way clean. No alcohol, drugs nor smoke make its way inside me but shit, I still swear. Three great sons. Brian, Kevin and Quinn. Heard those names before? Brian & Kevin find and supply 'Special' people for certain special assignments within the US Government. Quinn lives in Hollywood and works in the film industry. He is moving up in the ranks of that very odd industry. Some day you'll see his name before the movie starts instead of towards the rear of the credits. Three grand children what a blast. Parker, Logan & Taylor. I'm still a pain in the butt, love to laugh and kind to all. Loyal to family, friends and The United States of America. This was fun to write. I have finally grown up. Your Pal, Jim Moran

Updated 6-Feb-2010. In a nutshell...I got married soon after graduating. Having both parents pass away 4 months apart I'm sure had something to do with that. Moved to Sonora,CA in 1981. Had my daughter Jenny in 1984. Got divorced in 1988. Remarried (I'm a little slow), kicked him to the curb 1992. Are we having fun yet ? So, you know what they say about third time being the charm. Thank god it was true. Happily married to David for 16 years. Lucky enough to have a second child without labor (step daughter) Krysti. And along came Devon in 1995. They are now 25, 19 and 14. We moved to Lexington, Kentucky in 2003 for no apparent reason. Ended up with thyroid cancer in 2005. Successful surgery and treatment with Drs. David Slone and Kenneth Ain, both University of Kentucky. Let's just say I love UK and my HMO. Aha...apparent reason. October 19, 2006 everything stopped. I received news that my brother Jerry had died from carbon monoxide poisoning. Life is just not fair. Also bought a home in 2005 and had just finished the bathroom from hell when hubby decides it's time to move closer to family. Timing was a little off. So...goodbye UK and, oh god, my HMO. We arrived in Gardnerville,NV. 10 days ago. Hubby is working for Douglas County Schools up at Zephyr Cove. Outwardly, I am blissfully unemployed. Inwardly, not so much. Lots of clinics, docs and dentists so I shouldn't be idle for long. We have a beautiful house and the schools are great and no cancer. So...glass is half full...life is good. Am looking forward to future reunions now that we live closer. Take care Chris 01/03/2010 A new year and a new zip code. Two months after moving to Nevada the school district decided in its infinite wisdom to cut my husbands position. So we decided to come full circle and come home to Sonora this past October. Currently working for the Dept. of Social Services but 02/01 will be back at my old job at the Health Dept. Teenagers and birth control..gotta love it ! Life is good....and will be even better when the washer and dryer are out of storage ! Happy New Year ! Chris

Updated 30-Jan-2010. I've spent 30+ years in the Pacific Northwest, and called Arcata/Eureka area home. I attended Humboldt State University for close to forever--I really enjoyed it and the surrounding community. I reveived a B.S. and a M.S. in Natural Resources Namagement, and Vegetation/Forest Ecology. For work, I spent most of the time working as vegetation ecologist conducting research in forest ecology and natural resource management for Federal and State Agencies througout California, Oregon, and other areas on the Pacific coast. I also spent some of the early net years working as a computer techie (website design, etc) for a variety of DotOrg's. I moved back to Los Altos in 2004 to take care of some medical adventures including, and associated with, Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (things are going well now). I stayed down here to spend more time helping my mother -who died in 2008. On top of all of this, I am now working for Caltrans at the Oakland HQ as an Associate Environmental Planner Biologist/Ecologist for projects in Marin County and Sonoma County--tracking down endangered species and wetlands-- and working with all sorts of Federal and State resource agencies. I now live in Hayward. Best wishes to all. ---Steve

Updated 25-Jan-2010. I see that my last update predicted our cruising departure date to be mid-September, 2009. Well, we left on Sept. 27 -- not half bad! We sailed to San Diego with several stops along the way. Then we traveled with a large group of boaters (about 190 boats in all) from San Diego to Cabo San Lucas arriving on Nov. 5, 2009. We continued on from there and are currently located in La Paz. It is beautiful here, sunny and warm, and we have no desire to return. However, for the first three summers, I may return during the summer to refill the cruising kitty. If there is a reunion this summer, I'll be there. If you are interested, you can follow our adventures at www.muggsandlarry.com. We are cruising on a 45' ketch-rigged sailboat. My high school Spanish has come in very handy, too!
