What's New?: If anybody has actually heard of Farmington, New
Mexico I will give you a shiny gold star. ;o)
Anyways, it's a small town near the four-corners
area, and a long ways away from anything of
importance or fun.

I actually just came to New Mexico to visit my dad
for a few weeks in the summer last August, and here I
am, still in Farmington.

I was just a few units shy of graduating from San
Jose Christian College with a double major in "Bible
and Theology" and "Youth Ministry," and I was going
to take a few classes at DeAnza to finish up. When I
came out to NM to visit my dad, he talked me into
checking out the college they have and somehow I
ended up staying.

From what I have seen, this town has a way of sucking
people in that really don't want to be here and
keeping them for long periods of time when they
really aren't sure as to why. ;o) So far, it has been
nice though. A much slower, more mellow pace of life
than the Bay Area. I am currently working with a
large number of churches doing some large scale
college ministries here in town. It has been a lot of
fun so far and definately rewarding. God has totally
been able to use me here to reach people and also, be
blessed by people.

Also, I am having fun workin a couple days a week at
Outback Steakhouse. So if anybody happens to be in
the area of Farmington, NM with a hankering for a
steak, stop on by and say hi.

When I was reading the names on the list it was
really cool to remember the times that we shared at
Mountain View. Congratulations to those of you who
are engaged, and or, already married. And Benji,
props to you on the singin. The stuff sounds pretty
cool. But anybody that wants to send a line, feel
free, I would love to hear from you. Otherwise, God

What's New?: Things have changed for me so much.. I am not as mean

What's New?: Working my butt off as a construction supervisor for a
General Contractor in the East Bay. We do residential
construction projects, and specialize in
green-building. Closely related to this line of work,
I'm actively learning Spanish- both on the jobsite and
in the classroom.

Regular hiking, surfing, and rock-climbing adventures
serve to keep my life balanced between work and play.

What's New?: It's been a while since I last updated and I'm proud
to say that I am a new mommy. My husband and I are
the proud parents of a baby girl. Our daughter Alison
(Ali) was born in May and is now nearly 4 months old.
I am fortunate to still be at home with her and am
treasuring everyday. It's amazng how fast time flies.

on a sailboat as a dive instructor. More recently, I

What's New?: Wow! Where do I begin! God has been so good. I am a
professional Christian singer. From football to
music, who would have thought. For the last three
years I've been singing all around the world (there
are too many stories to tell.) I have three cd's out,
and would like to start my fourth some time this year
(2001). Right now I'm taking a year or so off of
traveling, and I'm at Heald College in Milpitas. (I

What's New?: Yeah I recently moved to Los Angeles from S.America to pursue my
career in the big city of dreams. I have a 3 month old daugther named
Leah Sachi ironically, I am engaged to her mother Karla Morales who is
native to Guadalajara, MX. I have been working with Mayan people in
Yucatan Peninsula which is the Gateway to the Mayan Underworld in
collaboration with the Mexican Board of Tourism. Before moving to
Mexico I as working with Conde Nast Publications as a Photographer
shooting for GQ magazine and other A list amgazines.If any of my
former classmates would like to contact me feel free I would love to
network with any of you or just catch up.

I am sad to inform any of you who might not know that Matt Stone
passed November 19, 2004 @ 9:30 pm in San Jose, Costa Rica of
unknown causes at the age of 26. Matt Stone was a great guy, a world
traveler an amazing athlete and I am glad to say I knew him and loved
him. God bless his soul and may he rest in peace.

What's New?: I went to UC San Diego, where I graduated with a degree
in Ecology and Economics. I worked as a public transit
planner and environmental science teacher for 4 years
in San Diego before moving to Southwest Missouri to
work on the Kerry-Edwards Campaign. After 6 months as a
regional organizer-speaker for the campaign, I left
Bush country for quieter fronts.

I spent the last 2 years working and traveling in
Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Peru and Mexico. Mi espa�ol
esta bastante chido, ya. Down south, I worked in small
villages developing environmental education programs
and working in park management. In Nov 2006, I returned
to the states and am now looking for a job that will
allow me to tackle some of the poverty and
environmental problems I have seen first hand.

I know I'm still the tree hugger I always was . . .but
I stand proud.

What's New?: As you can see from the new last name, I am now
married...still no kids, though.

I Graduated last year from Davis with a Master's in
Biochem + Molecular Biology. It took me a while, but I
finally landed at a pharmaceutical company in South SF
(www.rigel.com), where I am working to find new chemo
drugs. It took us a little longer to find a place to
live, but we just moved into a place in Pacifica.

Been playing a lot of Ultimate Frisbee, which is my
main way of keeping in touch with friends from MVHS,
apart from this awesome webpage. I'm happy (and in
some cases surprised) to see how you all are making
your way through life.

2008 update:
Finally got around to adding to the family; little
Abigail is 8 months old, and loving life. We still
live in Pacifica, but I now work at Genentech in a
microscope lab.

What's New?: My husband Mike and I welcomed our daughter Avery on
June 1, 2006. Weighing in at a very healthy 9lbs. 7.5
oz. and 21 inches long. After 4 days in the hospital
we are home and doing great. I don't think life could
be better.

Well I spoke too soon as usual.:) On March 26, 2008 @
7:24am Brady Michael Ross was born via c-section. He
weighed 8lbs 15oz. and 21 inches long. We ae all
doing great and Big Sis Avery can't stop giving him
kisses!!

What's New?: After attending Foothill College for a year after
graduation, I served a two-year mission for the Church
of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Texas San
Antonio Mission. It was the greatest experience of my
life until I met my future wife (Lindsay Girand) after
I arrived home in September 1999. We were married on
April 21, 2000 and are still very happy. I graduated
from BYU with a BS in CS in April of 2002. I also
graduated from the J. Reuben Clark Law School (at BYU)
in April of 2005.

I am now working as a patent attorney in San Jose.

More importantly, our first daughter was born to us
August 29, 2003 - Olivia Michael. Our first son was
born on April 4, 2005 - Samual Lloyd. Two down,
four to go.

What's New?: .finally started my own plumbing company! after nine
years i figured that i might as well be my own

What's New?: I'm STILL working and living in the Tokyo Metro area of
Japan.

I'm puttering around on the weekends, getting my MBA at
some college called McGill (never heard of it) on their
"Japanese campus" (they rented a building). On the
weekdays I'm teaching at local Jr High schools... which
is creepy hearing "Maaaaiiiiikkkkuuuuuuu~!" from random
kids walking around my town. I'm working on getting my
2kyuu on the Japanese Proficiency test... but that
seems like some time away.

I'll be in Hawaii and California for a couple days
during the 07-08 holidays. If you'd like to get in

What's New?: After bad economic conditions coalesced in March at
the Contra Costa Times, where my husband and I were
both reporters, we accepted voluntary buyouts from our
jobs in what became the first of three rounds of
layoffs. We road-tripped across the country,
took several backpacking trips (including to Mt.
Whitney!) and caught up with family and friends. The
time allowed us to gather our thoughts and turn our
lives in a new direction -- toward Colorado. My husband
is now an editor at the Boulder Daily Camera, and I am
seeking an editing or communications job in the Denver
metro area. We plan to stay here a while, given the
outdoor opportunities and how far money goes. My
advice to anyone weighing whether to take a buyout:
Remember that the first offer is always the best.

What's New?: After MVHS I attended and graduated from UC Santa Cruz in 2000 with
a degree in Art. After that I worked as a photo editor for the dotcom
Excite@Home, then the company went bankrupt, so I enrolled in
Photojournalism classes at San Francisco State University. I interned at
the Palo Alto Daily News in the summer of 2003 and at the Appleton
Post-Crescent newspaper, in Wisconsin (go Packers!) in the summer of
2004. I�m now a staff photographer at the Arizona Republic newspaper
in Phoenix. My photos so far have appeared in US News and World
Report, Golfweek, A Magazine: Inside Asian America, the Baltimore
Sun, the San Jose Mercury News, the Oakland Tribune, the Tri-Valley
Herald, Photo District News, and the Associated Press. Also, since
graduating from UC Santa Cruz I�ve traveled in El Salvador, Guatemala,
Mexico, Canada, China, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and most of the

What's New?: After studying Music Education for a millenia, I sold
out and and join Corporate America with Bank of America.
I have recently resigned my position there and am
beginning coursework in Business with an emphasis on
entrepreneurship.
I have been delightfully married for seven months now
to a beautiful woman named Ashley Taylor. We will be
living in Fresno for the shortest period of time

Oklahoma Baptist University...Spanish degree w/ a
music minor, but I still don't know what I want to
do "when I grow up". When I graduated, I just stayed
in Oklahoma, at Taco Bell, but that finally drove me

What's New?: Matt Stone, at the age of 26 years old, unexpectedly
died on Friday November 19, 2004 in San Jose, Costa
Rica. He had been in Costa Rica ten days and was
traveling for pleasure and language studies.

Many people have asked how Matt passed away.
Initially, his cause of death was unknown. At the end
of April 2005, we received the pathologist's cause of
death, and this was recorded as 1) acute pulmonary
edema (fluid in the lungs) and 2) hypertrophic
cardiomyopathy (enlarged and abnormal heart muscle).
The death was determined to be of "natural" causes.
Matt had not been previously diagnosed with
hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.

Prior to Matt's passing, his residence was in Los
Altos and, while working toward his teaching
credential, Matt substitute taught in Santa Clara and
San Jose. He hoped to become a high school history
teacher. He was a graduate of UC Berkeley with a
major in history. At Cal, Matt was on the Varsity
Water Polo Team. Matt loved music, spending hours
practicing his guitar and keyboard. He also loved
driving his "fleet" of remote control cars,
snowboarding, and hiking in the redwoods. Matt was a
fun-loving person and provided continuous support to
friends and family. He is deeply missed.

His good friend, Ben Curren, set up a web page at

How's life? Asside from the sadness we all

great! I'm back in Cali, and living it up. I tried
out the dive school(for the Navy)thing for a while,
