I got my first AA 1966, took a 30 year hiatus to raise a family, then went back and got a second AA in 1995 and my BS from SJSU in 1998! Got divorced just before graduation, and moved to No.CA. Now working in the accounting department of a large timber company. Retired again - not by choice - December 2007. Gary (son)& Gloria have given us 3 delightful grand-daughters. Kaeli-12, Emily-10 & Ally-7. Renee (daughter)& David have given us 2 more wonderful grandkids, Thomas 4 years and Samantha 3 and 2 cute but very spoiled dogs. Al is retired and enjoys remodeling the house, working in the yard, his hot rod, helping the neighborhood ladies and planting a garden with Tom Correia. Last year they picked lots of tomatoes. This year is looking like the same thing. I have been on the MVUHS "Eagle"Alumni Day Annual Picnic committee for the past 15 years. The 1st Saturday of October every year we have a reunion at Cuesta Park for all MVHS & Awalt alumni. Stop by and see some of your old friends. It's fun. Our 40 year class reunion was lots of fun. Our youngest moved to Georgia with in lovely wife and our newest granddaughter. We moved to Lahaina about five years ago from Santa Cruz. We had lived in Santa Cruz all of our adult lives and with the kids not in the area, what the heck, we needed a change. Life has been good to us. I currently hold a Senior Human Resources Professional Certification (SPHR) and at this ripe old age, and now have a MBA. I have two consulting business: HR for Small Business Hawaii, I help make many Hawaiian Small Businesses better and Blue Sky Careers helping out professional level skilled job seekers with a business plan to get that next great job. You never know where things will lead in the Consulting Buz. Last year, I found myself doing a consulting gig to what started off as an employee. Did not take us, the employer, and me to realize, they did not need a full time person for their restaurants. Paul taught the children of our military over there and I did many jobs connected with children from pre-school through subbing and teaching in a Christian school for two years.
