- I graduated from MVHS as an exchange student. I had a
great time in 85/86! I still have my MVHS basketball
jersey!
Went back to Germany to finish school there. Did the
mandatory civil service. Went off to Switzerland and
Pasadena to study cardesign at the ArtCenter College
of Design. Got a job at the European design studio of
Nissan in Munich after graduating in 1994. Did some
showcars there and had the chance to get to know Japan
pretty well. I just moved to Opel (GM) near
Frankfurt/Germany and am looking forward to work in a
European/American environment. Oh... I got married in
2001 and Ilona and me are exspecting our 1st child in
January 2003. Now and then I make it to the States.

- Life comes full circle: I now work as a technology
trainer/IT guy for the MV-Whisman elementary school
district. My five-year-old daughter and her mom are
spending a year back east to care for her grandmother,
which is very hard on me.
I still see Dean Johnson (Class of '85), Marni Zampa
('86), and Deb Tracy-Poulx ('86) from time to time.
Still talk to Brett Smith ('86) every once in awhile,
he and his family are now living up in Roseville. Chat
with Cyndi Hurd ('85) and Kelly Anderson ('84) from
time-to-time, too.

- I received my bachelors degree from UC Berkeley in
1990 and my masters degree from Tohoku Universty (in
Japan) in 1994. After all that education, I'm now a

- After High School, I jumped right into the
entertainment field. First, I became a D.J. at a Bay
Area Night Club, then I worked at SoundTek Recording
Studios and then on to the position I am in currently,
working and touring as a stage manager/drum
tech/guitar tech for national recording acts. I have
toured the world with such bands as Slaughter,
Warrant, Ted Nugent, Dokken, Kiss, Gilby Clarke (Guns'
N Roses), and Alice Cooper to name a few. I now live
in Las Vegas with my 2 dogs and 2 cats (which my
fantastic house-sitter takes care of for me while I'm
on the road).

- I changed my family name when I married my college
sweetheart in 1991.
My wife Nowell and I have 2 girls: Cassidy (10) and
Shelby (9). After a year at De Anza I took off to
pursue a design career. First stop was Long Beach
State University. I feverishly completed a portfolio
and was accepted to Parsons School of Design in
Los Angeles in 1988 for the 88/89 school year. I
changed my mind that summer and decided to switch
majors and get out of college with a business degree
instead. So I graduated from Long Beach State
University in 1990. My 4th employer out of college
was Cisco where I stayed for 9 years. I left Cisco in
2002 to join a smaller networking company named QLogic
where I head up the Marketing Communications team.
Nowell retired in 1997 to a life of consulting and
raising our kids after a prosperous 5 years at Cisco
and a number of years elsewhere. She continues to
consult and is currently developing curriculum to teach
Biblical principles for conflict resolution for
elementary school children.
We live in Ladera Ranch, a new community
in the foothills overlooking San Juan Capistrano and
Dana Point.

In short I did a 3 yr tour with the Army, went to Cal
Poly SLO, married a beautiful girl (Kerri) from New
Zealand, had a bunch of kids and have worked at various
startups here in the SF Bay Area. We will be moving
back to NZ summer of 2007.
I had an awesome time at the 20 year re-union. I am
truly impressed with the quality of people who went to
school with me so long ago.

- About 3 weeks after graduating from MVHS, I entered
the Marines. I was stationed in Okinawa for 2 years
after training, and saw most of Asia while I was there.
I was then sent to North Carolina to serve the
remaining 3 years of my contract. I got married in
1991, and have 2 boys: Johnathan (14) and Charles (12).
I divorced in 1994... these things happen.
After receiving my Honorable Discharge, I stayed in
NC. The cost of living is so much lower here. I've held
a number of jobs, ranging from sewing machine service
manager, to being an environmental technician doing
anthrax clean-up at the Brentwood Post Office in
Washington DC. Currently, I am working for Motel 6
doing area maintenance for 25 properties, covering
North and South Carolina.
I've got too many hobbies to list, let alone get
around to doing more than occasionally. I've seen and
done so many things since HS.. but those are stories
better told over a beer in good company.

- So here we are. After high school, I earned my
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management at
Brigham Young University. Married and had 5 (not a
typo) kids -- Jeff (15), Becca (14), Joseph (11),
Alex (9) and Kaitlyn (3-1/2). This means I have 2
kids who are having the high school experience this
next year -- hey if it makes me feel old, it's gotta
make you all feel old too!
After college, I did work for a couple of years in my
field, but when the kids started coming, I reduced to
part time hours and worked for a health care company
that allowed me flex time. I finally quit in 2000
when all the schedule coordinating at home started to
get too crazy. Trust me, being a stay-at-home mom is
a whole lot of work!
My kids have fun looking at my old pictures,
yearbooks and stuff, and teasing me about styles. I
always enjoy it when some style comes back in and I
can prove that we all wore it way back when.

currently work for an unpscale caterer in
Washington,DC with a heavy emphasis in
the political parties, societal functions and several
museum galas.
I have security clearances to cook for heads of state,
functions at Camp Davis, The State Department, various
Embassies and Foreign Service diplomats.
For off time I travel, having recently returned from
Japan and completed 3/4 of the Appalachian Trail.

about me. I am a mother of two children, Matthew age
11 and Caitlyn age 8. They keep me pretty busy!!!
I am teaching at a Christian School, teaching 3 year
olds.
In June of 2000 I finally
graduated from De Anza College with a Early Childhood
Education AA Degree. I hope to keep going to San Jose
State and get my teaching degree for kindergarden
grade level Minoring in Special Education. I am
interested in this because my son,-Matthew is

and am now employed by a firm that lets me work both
in the field and from home in my bunny slippers.
Met my much better half, Robyn, in Dec 2002. We
bought a house in Shawnee, KS in Oct '04, which she
and I are slowly working on.
Robyn and I were married Oct. 22, 2005 and are
happily enjoying married life and travelling the
world as time allows.

- I love reading what everyone has been up to! You guys
have been so creative, brave, and brilliant! For me,
well... graduated from where I started at San Diego
State. I married Rick Ebster in 1996 (childhood golf
friend and I married brothers - nice to have a friend
in the family). Husband Rick is my partner in Real
Estate - we have a fantastic team, love the work, and
always appreciate more! Parents still in same house,
and family is growing, but we're sticking to dogs.
Yes, I did the golf thing. Went extremely well, now
a "has been." Didn't like the life, came home to this
area. Still teaching at Stanford GC and a member-
advisor for the LPGA. I'm fatter and look every bit
our age. But life is GOOD! Marni Zampa and I are
still partying and happy to hang out with anyone who'd

- After graduating, I went to two years of college, one
year in Rexburg, Idaho and one in Provo, Utah. Met my
husband in Utah and just celebrated 18 years of
marriage this past April. We have 5 wonderful children,
4 girls, 1 boy - Nikell(17),Davis(15), Jacee(12),
Shayla(10), and Marissa(8). Our oldest is a senior this
year. I stayed home to raise our children (loving every
minute of it!) and went back to college a few years
ago. I will graduate in May 2007 as a Respiratory
Therapist and will work part time. My husband, Tony, is
a Paramedic/Firefighter here in Idaho Falls where we
enjoy the outdoors, motorbike riding with the kids, and
snow boarding/skiing.(the later sport I enjoy watching
from the comfort of the lodge!) LIfe has been busy with
five kids and all the activities they have been
involved with but I couldn't have asked for anything
better or more rewarding! Great to read what everyone
has been up to!

Still building custom furniture and fine
art sculpture. Living in and continually attempting to
restore a 1909 Craftsman Home in Downtown San Jose.
I spend a majority of my time attempting to keep up
with my daugher (Ruth) who is a competitive swimmer
with the Campbell Wavemakers, my partners (Sandi, Kaye,
and Tony) and an English Mastiff (Leo). Still
attempting to write poetry and short fiction and still
not having enough hours in the day.

It is really fun to read up on what many of you are
doing. I can’t get over the fact that more time has
past since high school, then all the time leading up
to high school… Well, my wife Shari and I have two
daughters, 3 and ½ and 5, both currently in pre-
school. They will eventually go to MVHS as well, only
a few blocks from where we live. It’s fun to drive by
the school occasionally, or hear the band practicing
at 7AM on fall mornings; brings back memories (no I
wasn’t talented enough to be in the band). I am lucky
to be able to keep in touch with several of you and
equally as lucky being able to correspond with others
I have not seen in years. I recently went to my
wife’s 20th and it was a real blast. I hope we can
get the word out to all of our classmates, so get on

- Life has been good. I graduated from UC Berkeley in
1991, but not before taking almost a year to hitchhike
through Europe and Africa.
Currently, I own my own business specializing in green
design, with a staff of about 12 people. I also write
on sustainable living for various newspapers and on
the web.
I enjoy kayak adventure travel, and take a month every
year to explore the world. I have traveled by kayak
in the Aegean Sea, from Greece to Turkey, the Stikine
River in British Columbia, Alaska, Laos, Cambodia and
Mexico among other places.
I have also developed an invention that uses diurnal
temperature variation and convection principles to
reduce heating and cooling costs.
I enjoy running, biking, and writing. I have not yet
married.

- After graduating from UCSB in '90, I worked in the
financial services sector in San Francisco for a
couple of years. In the mid 90's, I moved to NY to
attend Business School at NYU. After earning an MBA,
I worked for McKinsey for a couple years, ventured to
a couple of start-ups, spending nearly five years at
the last one - a software services company. After
nearly seven years in New York, I returned to San

After graduation and a short stint at Foothill
College, I moved to SF. I was the Associate Director
of Special Events for a youth development program
(SFCC). After 7 years in the workforce I decided to
hang up a good living and a great apartment
overlooking SF and head back to school. I moved to
Santa Barbara, worked at Santa Barbara City College as
a Special Programs Advisor in the Career Center and
received a BA in Political Science from UCSB. I took
a year off, got married and traveled to Europe and
South American with my husband Jason. From Brazil I
applied to business school and we relocated to
Cleveland Ohio where I had my first child (Jade
Genevieve 8.5 yrs) and earned my MBA/CNNP from Case
Western Reserve. From Ohio I jumped further east to
NY where I had my second child (Luke Alexander 5yrs)
and worked for the New York Times for 3 years as an
internal organizational development management
consultant. I ended my stint at The Boston Globe,
New York Times Company at one of our regional papers
(The Boston Globe) As Executive Director of
Human Resources.
I now own my own executive coaching and consulting
firm called Westwind Consulting Group:

- Graduated from S.J.S.U. with a B.S. Business Admin
degree emphasis in Accounting. After many years, I
am finally going to put my degree to use as a Revenue
Agent for the I.R.S.
I had moderate success in the high tech industry but
after going through two layoffs decided that I'd
rather take a pay cut and have some sense of job
security, especially with four kids and a stay at
home wife.
Spend most of my time trying to keep up with my kids
busy social life. Love going to Tahoe and doing
things with the kids.

- Just wanted to join this and say hello to other MVHS
alum. So what's up with me? I've been happily married
to my beautiful wife Kathy for the past 7 yrs. We have
two sons, Kevin and Aaron and live in Milpitas. I work
as a Sr. QA Engineer. I've done several jobs that
have taken me from Texas then back to the wonderful
bay area. Netscape, AOL, and Napster were some of my
past jobs. I'm now working at Good Technologies in
Sunnyvale. I would have loved to have raised my boys
near MVHS, but sadly can't afford to live there :-)
A bunch of my buddies from High school still get
together and play flag football at MVHS every
Thanksgiving, so come out and see us if you know us.
Best of health everyone. I'm glad to see most of us
turned out to be respectable adults ;-)

- I graduated from Vassar College in NY and returned to the Bay Area,
where I've worked in nonprofit development (fundraising), and more
recently, foundation grantmaking. I recently left my job to spend more
time with my family. In 1997, I married my husband, Dave Vadasz
(MVHS '85) and we've settled down in Los Altos. We have a 4 yr old boy,
James, and a 2 yr old girl, Katie. Looking forward to catching up at
reunion!

- Getting married May 20th at my folks house in Los
Altos. Steve Hope is performing the ceremony. As we
used to say in HS "trip out on that!' Funny how happy
you can be that some things haven't changed.
Lived on a boat for 10 years while working for various
publishing companies. Then, one day, with a really bad
delusional-type fever guiding my way, decided to start
my own company. That was 7 years ago and I haven't
seen the floor of my office since.

- OK, this takes a bit of 'splainin'. Graduated in 1990 from UC Berkeley,
degree in English. Attended graduate school, again in English (focus:
17th-18th Century), at University of Michigan, until 1994; got M.A.,
but stopped short of Ph.D. Taught English Lit and Comp. at Lawrence
Technological University (Southfield, Michigan, just outside of Detroit),
mostly night school (most popular class: Science and Literature), until
1997. Attended law school at Vanderbilt (whichis in Nashville,
Tennessee) through 2000. Got job back in Palo Alto/Mountain View
(yay, moved back home!) through 2003 with Fenwick & West
(intellectual property litigation, mostly). Moved back to "Nashvegas"
and have been working for Waller Lansden Dortch & Davis
(www.wallerlaw.com) since 2004 (again, intellectual property litigation,
mostly). (And, no, I don't really like Country music--and there is much
more to Nashville than that--but the honky-tonks on lower Broadway
are fun regardless.)
Married Helen Dizikes in 1997 (yes, just before starting law school).
Helen is from Santa Cruz, but we actually met in Ann Arbor. Helen has
a Ph.D. in Classical Art and Archeology (she no longer goes on "digs").
We have two daughters: Isabelle Ann, born September 26, 2002; and
Vivian Margaret, born April 11, 2007.

- Hello,
After earning a biology degree from SSU in '92 I
worked as a fisheries biologist on board commmercial
fishing vessels in the Bering Sea. Between
contracts I spent my time in Mendocino and Seattle.
In the Fall of '95 I began working as a bander for
Hawk Watch International in a remote area of the
Goshutes Mountains of northeastern Nevada. There I
met Kathryn whom I would marry in the year 2000. I
worked two seasons on that project giving me some
great memories.
In 1997 I returned to the area and began working for
Forrest Linebarger as a grunt for a construction
crew. I also began attending Santa Clara U. and
earned an MA in education and have been teaching and
coaching at Wilcox HS for 8 years now. I love my work!
Speaking of Forrest, he and I did a month long
kayaking trip down the Stikine River in Canada and
the Petersburg area of SE Alaska. We've planned
another trip for this April to the Santa Barbara
Channel Islands. Anyone interested in going should
contact me.
I have two terrific kids. Phoebe Kate (3)and Chloe
Meavis (10 mos). We live in a pink bungalow in Norh
San Jose close to SCU and biking distance to Wilcox.
Don't hesitate to pop me a message. Even just to say
Hey! Becasue I keep my yearbooks in my classroom, my
students are always looking through them. So I see
all your faces all of the time and would love to hear

- Well, I don't think that there is enough room to tell
all since 1986. I graduated from UCLA in 1991. I was
treated for bone cancer the following year (Kicked the
Shit out of it) and then moved to Sacramento.
I spent the next 5 years in Sacramento working in
Politics. That brought me east to Washingotn D.C.
where I spent two years writing legislation (3 bills
actually were signed into law). I realized that
politics just wasn't my bag, baby, and moved onto NYC,
the Big Apple. I've spent the last 3 years living in
Manhattan and working in the Telecommunications
industry. It's been a blast and things are going very
well.
I miss California but love the excitement of NYC. It's
been a long time since I have touched base with many
people after High School, and I just want to say
"Thanks" to those who supported me through my rough
times -- you know who you are.
Hope all who knew me are doing well and are successful
in life.

- After MVHS, I graduated from Humboldt State Univ
(northern Calif) in 1991 and went to work for Apple
Computer. That took me to San Diego, where I left
Apple, but met my wife, Aimee. In 1994, we moved
back to San Francisco, where I got my MBA at Univ. of
San Francisco. That led to various high-tech jobs at
Wells Fargo and Intuit. In 1999, I decided to take a
flyer on a then Internet-startup, called Kana
Software. We went public and I have ridden the ride
ever since. I'm now VP of Products.
When we started a family in 1997, we bought a house
in Burlingame. The year 2000 found us accepting a
transfer to New England, to build a new house on 6
acres, 20 mins from my office and an hour from
Boston. We have four children, girls Julia (6),
Olivia (new born), and boys Tyler (5) and Carter (3).

- Hi Everyone. While in high school pretty much all I
did was sing, play instruments and ride horses. Not
much has changed with me in almost 20 years! (except I
look older and have 3 wonderful children; Josef 12,
Jacob 9 and Mila 8 :-) I left for Florida in 1990 to
attend U of M's Jazz Program. I thought of trying to
move back home a few times; California is SO gorgeous
and my whole family is there, however it is hard to
move once you start getting established with gigs in
any one specific area. I also think it is easier to
make a living doing music in South Florida because of
great weather and tourism. We are only 15
minutes from Wellington where all the super amazing
International Show Jumping and Dressage stuff takes
place so the horse scene out here is amazing, crazy
and very much a part of our lives. My mom still lives
in the same house really close to school. She hears
the band practicing every fall and loves when old
friends stop by to say "Hi." Wishing you all much
happiness :-)

- After graduating from UCLA with an Electrical
Engineering degree, I lived in Switzerland working
for SwissAir as a computer consultant (my attendance
wasn't stellar, as I would often call in sick from the
ski slopes). After returning from Switzerland, I went
to work as an electrical engineer in the valley, and
eventually went to Berkeley for an MBA.
I'm now working as a Director of Product Marketing at
Rambus. At this point, its not clear if
I'll ever escape the valley...
I married Celia in 1998, and we had our first child,
James Logan Warmke (aka Jay) Feb 1st, 2001. We've been
having a great time with the little guy. He's a bit of
a trouble maker, doing everything he can to get one of
us to say "NO!", at which point he invariably
bursts-out in a surprisingly hearty belly-laugh. In
2003, we had our second child, Alexandra. Alexandra
quickly skipped the walking stage and is now running
from one point of chaos to another. Celia
retired from her advertising position at Excite@Home to
be a full-time Mom.
Besides work I love scuba diving, snowboarding, and
reading books about obscure topics which have no
practical value.

- Went to UCSC, majored in Economics, minored in East
Asian Studies, became fluent in Mandarin Chinese
Went to Taiwan for 2 years to study Mandarin and
taught English. Met my future wife there (one of my
students) Moved back to California. Moved to NY.
Helped future wife (Suzie) with her graduate studies
at Columbia University. Tried to start a business but
had bad timing.
Moved back to CA. Worked in SF doing international
trade with China. Trade War with China. Lost Job.
Got entry level job with a consulting firm in Berkeley
as an energy program evaluator working in Florida.
Got Married. Suzie got same Job working in Florida.
Traveled and lived all over Florida for 3 years.
Saved lots of money living on company paid meals,
wheels, and housing. Invested lots of money in rising
stock market. Got tired of traveling. Moved back to
CA. Worked for same consulting firm as an energy
analyst -> Sr. Consultant -> Associate. Currently do
Statistical Electrical Load Research and Metering for
several major Power Companies in the Midwest. Suzie
became a Realtor with Alain Pinel in Palo Alto.
Bought our first house 5 years ago in Los Altos.
Remodeled it myself. Tried to have kids. Infertile.
Used fertility drugs. Had twins! (1 boy, 1 girl, now
21 months old) House got too small. Have spent the
last year remodeling it again. (Hired Contractor this
time), but am doing the home network, home stereo, and
finish carpentry and some cabinetry myself. Have put
together a complete wood shop, and know how to use
it. Make my own lumber from trees. Have chickens
(still) Grow my own gourmet mushrooms. Make wine with
my father. (since 1971) Kids are a trip! Love to
do everything Daddy does (Savor fine wine, climb
trees, bang nails, play with farm animals, chase deer,
etc..) Used to play soccer once a week at Los Altos
High. Have not played since my twins were born, but I
pratice by running with my soccer ball to work every
day. Will resume playing once we are able to move
back into our house (near Los Altos High) after the
remodeling is completed later in the year. Currently,
we are living with my folks on Hillpark Lane in Los
