Nullsoft (the Winamp people) today released WASTE, a secure, mesh-network IM/chat/file-transfer system. Looks kinda cool. They even GPL'd the code.
WASTE is initially available on the following platforms:
Notice a particularly popular operating system missing from that list? No, I'm not talking about Solaris.
We went from valid source to 404 Not Found to the exciting message that is there now. Looks like we got some more deadbeef. :-0 Time to find em on IRC.
There is a related story about this at CNet.

Posted by Jeremy Zawodny at June 3, 2003 12:09 AMits fantastic
Funny, "Any license that you may believe you acquired with the Software is void, revoked and terminated" but the GPL specificly states, "parties who have received copies, or rights, from you under this License will not have their licenses terminated so long as such parties remain in full compliance." Well, looks like I can use it/get it then? Two articles you should read if you want to know more, http://www.afterdawn.com/news/archive/4127.cfm and where i got my quotes from http://www.afterdawn.com/news/archive/4120.cfm Happy reading.
